Can this mirror be used to check roof gutters for leaves on a single story home? Or is it too short?

I guess it depends on how tall you are. It's pretty close to 3' long. I'm 6' tall and I could check everything on the first story pretty easily. Good luck.

What material is the shaft???

Hi, all parts are metal except the obvious. Rubber handle over the metal shaft and the mirror is glass. You get an extra mirror replacement with this order.
