“From fruit eating bats to smart chimpanzees, from moles in their holes to seals in the seas”, Dr. Seuss’ famous Cat in the Hat takes young readers on a fun-filled tour of the world of mammals. This title forms part of a series of books that takes a look at natural history through a fun combination of Seussian rhymes and zany illustrations. Aimed at beginning readers – from four to seven years old – the books are designed to bridge the gap between concept books written for preschoolers and more formal non fiction titles that require fluent reading skills. By presenting the facts in a lively and rhythmic manner, they provide the critical foundation upon which complex facts and ideas can eventually be built. Dr Seuss is a camel a Mammal
A great introduction for young children explaining what a mammal is compared with a reptile forexample. Our grandson, aged 6, enjoyed this bookaltho' he's still not completely sure of the difference between mammals, birds, reptiles, invertebrates etc., but he's very young!!

Love this book! It was my 25 year olds favorite book as a child. My wife and my daughter both bought this book for the same baby shower. Educational and fun!

Big fan!
My granddaughter and I have read Dr. Seuss books since she was tiny. She’s almost 4 now and knows all the books by heart. Imagine my delight to discover these non-fiction Cat In the Hat books! I scooped 4 of them up (and they all were on sale). They’re definitely geared towards an older audience than most Dr. Seuss books—I’d say 5 or 6 years and up, which is perfect for our smart granddaughter who’s a pretty good reader, too. So happy to have found these books that will give us more years of reading together.
