Stanley 54-304 5-Ounce Magnetic Tack Hammer

stanley quality isnt as good as it used to be as the top of the head was glue filled rather than being solid wood and steel wedges which were ground down in the good ol' days when firms took pride in their tools but i guess thats what happens when you get things made in china

Probaly a good hammer but not impressed by the quality.stanley hammers were always market leaders.today the hammers are made in china no name on the head and only a sticky removable lable on the hicory shaft.so when the lable wears off no one would know its a stanley.definetly not the quality of old.

Great Hammer. I love the contour at the bottom, slides right into the perfect spot in my hand! It is the heaviest hammer I own, but it has the driving power to drive 20d framing nails in just a few swings without slipping off the nail head! Not the best all around hammer, but if you are like me, I have several hammers, each one for the right job. This one fits the bill as a heavy hitter for heavy duty work!

its worth the money, wood handles have less vibration and shock than steel/fiberglass handles

Head snapped off after a year.

This hammer is well balanced and just the right weight for hammering in tacks. The product arrived on time and was exactly as advertised. Very happy with the purchase.
