Good, cheap option until a more protective one comes out.
This case is pretty neat. I got this phone for Christmas 2014 and I was leaving the country soon after, so I had to buy a case quickly. I guess Otterbox and the like hadn't had time or decided the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact wasn't a priority (I think it had just been released, maybe fall 2014?). So choices were limited, and I'm just now getting around to writing a review. I don't know what the field is like now, maybe there's more options, but in case there are not, here are some pros and cons. One difficulty I encountered in choosing a case was that many descriptions and reviews didn't specify if the case was rigid or flexible. They simply said TPU, and I couldn't find if TPU was a hard material or pliable or what. I ended buying this one case that I ended up hating (this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ORQ8I6Q/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1) before taking another chance on this one that turned out alright. So, the Ringke FUSION case for the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is one piece composed of a hard, transparent plastic back and a bumper around the perimeter of the phone that has some give, but is not useless-silicone-sleeve bendy. The case I linked to before, the ORZLY, was way too pliable. I didn't feel like it was going to be very protective and the borders were bending all over the place. This one is pliable enough that the case is easy to get on and off, but I think it's thicker, especially at the corners where it counts, and I don't notice the pliability so much when the case is on. It doesn't really move when I'm using it, which some other users have complained about, so maybe I just don't notice it so much.I have the Smoke Black, and as a fan of greyish, muted colors, I love it. It looks a little browner in real life than the picture, imo. I love that the back is clear - I took Ringke's suggestion and drew myself a geometric design on some paper, cut it to size, and laid it in the back. Looks awesome, already working on a second one.I am not a phone-dropper. But I like to be prepared, and I came from a Motorola Droid Razr M in an Otterbox case, so I was used to a compact, protected phone that I throw in any bag without worrying too much about. I might be unconsciously babying this phone, because it was a (very expensive unlocked!) gift, but with this case I am comfortable with the inevitability of dropping it one day, though I wouldn't throw my phone in a bag willy-nilly.One super con: I hate that because of two charging options, the case manufacturers that I looked at in December decided to make cut-outs for both, weakening that area of the bumper. There's a thin piece of TPU that runs along the edge between the screen and both charging areas, with a slightly thicker chunk between ports. Super flimsy, not into it, although it's better than Case-mate's "Tough" Case, which does away with this completely leaving that edge totally exposed...terrible idea.Best case scenario would have been making several models: for example, one that covers the magnetic port for those of us that didn't spring another $30 for the adapter, one that covers the USB charging port for those who, and another with both closed or with flaps for those of us into wireless charging... Maybe this is too tall an order, I'm not a phone case manufacturer.

Eh . . .
I received the case in a timely manner. Upon opening the item, I discovered two things that were rather annoying, but not a deal breaker. The smoke colored transparent case had several notable surface scratches on it. I would have thought that it would have been a bit more resistant. As long as it protects my phone, I'm okay with it. I found it exceedingly dumb that there is a huge round sticker on the case itself since the sticker is regarding the separate screen protector, not the case. The glue that was used to apply it was overly sticky. It was a pain to get off - leaving me with a choice of using a solvent of some sort or a scraping tool. So - possibly damage case integrity or further scratch the case? I elected to work on it with warm soapy water (after soaking it for a time) and my fingernail. I don't know for sure if the scratches underneath the sticker were already there (as the entire back is scratched up) or I caused more.I contacted the seller by direct email the same day I received the product, but still have yet to hear back from them well over a week later. My suggestion to the manufacturer/seller is that they refrain from putting a sticker on the case (especially when it has nothing to do with the case) OR get the kind of stickers that peel off easily, preferably residue free.So far, product fits well. It wraps snugly around the back and sides of the case, with just a slight lip sticking up. (I'm assuming to provide an impact layer before you hit the glass screen. I had "installed" a PThinkĀ® 2.5D Round Edge 0.3mm Ultra-thin Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Sony Xperia Z3 Compact with 9H Hardness/Anti-scratch/Fingerprint resistant (Sony Xperia Z3 Compact) prior to ordering this case and the case fit well around and over it and has not caused any issues.Upon closer examination of the case back, it seems to be separating and having small chunks (gouges) appear where the outer rim edge (sides) meet and attach to the back panel. Perhaps I received a defective item since I am not even slightly hard on my phones. Maybe the seller will read this (since they don't seem to respond to their email) and respond to me. I'm certainly not going to intentionally test the case's protection capabilities with my phone, but it seems to be rather vulnerable and I certainly would feel the need to constantly check to see that the case isn't falling apart. This is a VERY flat rectangular phone, and it is slippery. The case makes the phone more easily grippable, but still too flat to be comfortable in the hand. I'm not overly fond of this case and have ordered a different kind from another manufacturer.

Best case out on the market right now for the Z3C
I've had this case for my green z3C since december (it is now march), and I am writing this review because I am very happy with this case, as it does what its made to do perfectly.I have dropped my phone a few times, and not only were they small, slipped off the lap type falls - but fumbling this thing like a hot potato, only to have it still fall edge first and bounce once or twice before miserably falling on its face flat on the ground. This case is the perfect thickness to provide a safety cushion, without having the phone feel too bulky. And not only does it protect, but it is very aesthetically pleasing. It's clear and shows the color of the phone perfectly, it has an opening for the magnetic charger, and what many, if not most, cases lack is the cutout for a lanyard chain (which I do use on my phone and has also saved it from drops from counters and into the toilet... also from getting it yanked out of my hands from friends/strangers).The only complaint that I have is something that another reviewer mentioned - the little strip that alongside the left side of the phone where the cutouts for the magnetic and micro USC charging port are is very flimsy and kinda stretchy. I do get worried that if it gets caught on something or I mishandle it it'll tear. This case would be perfect if that little strip was also made of hard plastic.I searched for a very long time for the perfect case for my z3C. There isn't much of a selection on amazon, or anywhere else, and most other cases are just simply hideous and cheap. This case is the ONLY case you should have on a z3C. I wouldn't trust anything else (until other companies decide to make better cases, that is.) I would strongly suggest purchasing this product if you've been looking around and want something that will protect your phone.

Very good slim fit case for Z3 Compact
Technically I'm rating this 4.5 stars after 4 months of use.PROs:-slim case, tight fit-exposes microUSB flap AND magnetic charge port on left side-transparent back for your own custom picture on the back-covered buttons that retain tactile feel-covered headphone jack (pro & con)-reasonable price for the build quality-includes a screen protectorCONs:-middle left side feels a bit flimsy due to the cut-outs for the microUSB and magnetic charge ports-covered headphone jack (pro & con)This is one of the very few slim cases for the Z3 Compact that exposes both the USB flap and the Magnetic charger port on the left side which is the primary reason I bought it because I use it with a Kosee magnetic charging dock. It fits very well and the smoke color goes nicely with my black Z3c. The transparent back is nice because you can print your own custom back cover picture and stick on the back (it includes a paper stencil to trace and cut for a back picture). The button feel of all 3 buttons is very good and retains the tactile feel even though it's covered. Like other reviews have pointed out, the middle left side feels a bit flimsy due to the lack of materials but I don't really see a way to fix it and still expose both the microUSB port and the magnetic charge port. Most other cases actually only expose either the microUSB flap OR the magnetic charge port, not both.

Good case overall
I would have given it 4.5/5 stars but since Amazon's rating system sucks I can't. The case overall is great value for the cheap cheap cheap cost. The fact that they include the screen protector as well is a really nice bonus at this price point. The reason why I am not giving it a full 5/5 is because it is slightly flimsy on the left side where the magnetic charger would go.The other thing is the headphone port. I've found that you can plug in most cables without taking the case off coz of the case's low profile. However, the tab that covers the hole for the headphones is really annoying. I just cut it off but it's up to you. The headphone jack is already fully waterproof so there is really no need to cover it unless you are really dusty and wear clothes with lots of lint in the pockets lol.It did get to me very quickly which was nice- I didn't even pick some crazy shipping or anything!Highly recommend!

It's okay
The case is kind of a soft rubbery material. Some of the buttons on the right side feel a little sharp/uncomfortable, but that'll rub down from use over time and isn't a big deal. The right, bottom, and top sides of the case are great and sturdy, but the left side where all the ports on the phone are located, is not.More specifically, since the plastic is more rubbery than hard, it bends and moves around a bit, and on the left side the openings in the case to permit access to the ports compromises the stiffness of the rubber/plastic case material on the supporting edge along the screen. I can easily see this part of the case wearing down and breaking within a year of good use, and if you're unlucky dropping the phone the plastic will very easily slip out of the way.For this reason I can't give the case more than a 3/5. It's meant to protect the phone and on the left side around the ports I don't think it will succeed at that. At least the rest of the phone is well protected.

This case has a nice slim fit
This case has a nice slim fit, as described. Left side has a cutout for the mangetic charging port, and two cutouts for the panels. Cutouts are large enough that you can still open them and charge your device with a regular micro USB cable while the case is on. Yes, the left side is a little bit "flimsy" but it doesn't impact the structure of the case at all, and it's not like it's just flopping around - it's still tight. Easy to remove and put back on. I've also made a custom graphic for the back - my Z3c is orange so I got some overhead projector paper and printed some designs on that so that the orange will still stand out. Looks pretty sweet! Used for about 2 months and no complaints so far.

All-Around Great Case, Professional Packaging
Fits perfectly to my Xperia Z3 Compact. The headphone jack cover is redundant as the jack is already waterproof, but not much of an issue. The part over the power button sticks out a little bit too much, but that's just me nitpicking. My phone perfectly snapped into place and stays there. Low chance of breaking the case so you don't have to worry about durability/life existence. Overall a great case. You can tell that they've put work into their products just by looking at their packaging and pictures.
