We like them, but standard weighted blankets work much better for us.
I purchased this set for my sons (4 yo with high-functioning Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder & 2 yo with Sensory Processing Disorder). My 2yo is not interested in them at all. My 4yo loves to use the large one as a pillow and as a punching bag but does not like it on his lap. He does like to use the small one on his lap. He loves having weighted blankets on his lap, so I think the shape of the large one is just too awkward for what his little body is comfortable with. The small one doesn't seem to be heavy enough to calm very much.

Wearable
My 5 yo son with ASD enjoys playing with this pillow. The large pillow and the small pillow snap together at the points, and he'll slip it over his head and arms, almost like a vest. He likes to wear it while dancing to Yo Gabba Gabba.I only gave it 4 stars because the yellow fabric is more challenging to wipe clean than the green fabric, and it really holds lint and animal hair well. The yellow is like soft courdiroy or terry-cloth, while the green is soft plush. The plush wipes down nicely and dog hair brushed off easily.

What they ended up being perfect for was at nap time
I own a daycare and originally got these to use as lap weights for some of my restless kiddos that need help to calm down. What they ended up being perfect for was at nap time! We lay these on some of the kids' backs that have a hard time calming down at nap time and they are now asleep within minutes and they love the idea of having to lay still so that their starfish can sleep! What a great help these have been!

Cute but Not Good for Intended Use
These are relatively cute, one is smaller than the other and they can snap together. However, my daughter just doesn't seem to care about them too much which is a shame. I think it's because they are not quite large enough to really be a sensory tool. If I just wanted a cute starfish plushie I could get one for cheaper that doesn't try (and fail) to be a sensory aid.
