Can the one supplied wall switch control 2 of these fans? If I bought 2 of the fan without effecting the performance?

Yes the included wall control (#22691) is rated for 2.0 amps and can handle two of these fans.

Can this be installed with a longer downrod? How do you order the longer rod? item #?

Yes. Optional longer downrods are available on Amazon.com. They are available in 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 60 and 72 inch lengths. Just search for "Hunter white downrod" and the size that you need.

can this fan be converted to accommodate a remote switch ?

Yes, any of the Hunter remote kits sold on Amazon are compatible. Look for Hunter #99119, 99121, 99122, 99123, 99372. Any of those will work.
