4 days use its going to Dump, frequently disconnect after few hr. of uses, Battery not charge during uses, its charge full only on Ideal condition. D-link need to improve in Dongle + one SIM slot (4gLte/Evdo auto selection or Evdo sim support must) and 4k+mah battery or give space inside to attach power bank instead of battery, then definitely its Most DEMANDING product in India hope will be 5 Star rating award wining....... We are customers believes/demanding Good Network company..... D-Link R U listening.......???I was buy for using my Teracom U-500 Dongle BSNL EVDO that was not in Compatible List but instead i m try it, but 2 days too much exercise and communicate with D-link....now it is works fine.I have received box some body return it, inside battery, wire all are opened looks like trial, as mention Content on Cover, i m didn't get Installation guide.Pro.1. Excellent works on GSM network D-Link DWP157 Dongle. connects in 10 sec.2. 20 feet rang its works fine with 3-4 line single strength - more than 20' to 40' feet area, it will works on 1 line single.3. 5 in 1 USE (RouterDHCP+3G+Hotspot+Repeter+AP)4. Easy to carry.5. Security Level good, D-Link Support Center v.good.6. Android APP support SHARE PORT GO, Share data network access on mobile.Cons.:1. CDMA Evdo data card Takes time to Connect - 1 - 2 minutes.2. Disconnect each 5 Hr. use, after 4 days uses its frequently disconnected wifi network, First day running superb.3. Did not Share internet via DHCP network port. Local Area Network woks fine.4. BATTERY is BIG Issue of the DIR506L, did not run without Battery, after few month battery down, in the market not available also Dlink Center did not given right now separately, Can not call as Power Bank - Dlink Should be improve it 4-5k mah+ or better without Battery - make space inside to insert power bank so it will more cheaper to buy and both RUN direct power and on powerbank.5. Battery Backup is 2 Hr. in Green light, 30 minutes in Red light warning for charge - total - 2.30 Hr. (only stable if u charge in Ideal)6. Takes time to full Charge 2 hr. in ideal condition, 7+ hr in uses condition.Overall its 3 star, I will give 5 Star and suggest to all......if D-Link improve it.Cheers........

The product needed a firmware update for unlocking the repeater mode. It has been more than a year and has worked well. For its size it has decent WiFi range. Now it's battery has gone bad and the device doesn't work without the battery even when you connect it directly with the power. Every time it powers on I have to configure the router by resetting it. I primarily used it as a range extender. The other features such as media sharing I haven't tried.

Good Product, WiFi is fairly functional. The cons are1. HDD sharing is not working well with external disks that use power on USB alone. but doing good with HDD using external power supply.2. Lower battery, Not for the locations where power failures are frequent.3. Power supply is not packed in, used a mobile charger which is quick charge and battery gone very soon. so use only 1A charger.

Well I love this device,it serves very good don't worry about compatibility because the best part it will work with anything.I own unlocked CDMA tata photon using tata Indicom and also gsm data card from alcatel. Although both never showed up in router page the correct but I guess it recognize the hardware get you connected.if problem persists you just have to setup with manual settings then anywhere wifi is ready to serve you.I don think it will put down anyway as what I feltPros:works really good with almost all major HW manufacturers modems but have setup in manual modem.I guess that not any big deal.Con's: not much to say but you need to have high rated power bank in case battery dies for the pocket router so that you can instant charge.~actually i am not sure how to order replacement battery as that can be big concern later on because its nowhere common mobile phone battery~takes time to recognize your modem initially and then slowly things will be fine but still somewhat patience you need to maintain.if its doesn't then just reboot it again it will take.Rest I would have given 5 but if few things can be aligned then surely it's best buy.Golden Advice, unfortunately don't even think of calling DLINK India technical support for any technical issue because they just know how to replace the product not to fix the issue even if you escalate matter to level 3 support no use. Just google it, you will find the answer sooner or later. I faced very bad time with DLINK 2750U ,3 time replacement but no issue resolution finally I found resolution after 6 months of frustration what it was just check box.Rest go for it,its value for money from trusted manufacturer.

Review after using long time.Good one. Durable, wifi strength good for small area and value for money.But it is not replacement for routers which used normally with every connection.

I have not tried with a 3G modem. But it is an excellent modem for using with DSL connection. Works flawless once you configure it. Range is also pretty good. Just make sure it is kept at some height. Battery backup incase of power outage is also very good. Overall you wont be disappointed with it, unless you received a defective product.

Worked properly for around 1 year. Then power back up started failing and lasted only for 1 hour. Initially it used to give 4 hours of back up. Also it started disconnecting in between. So my work used to get disrupted frequently
