Ohuhu Alcohol Markers 60 Illustration Colors Brush Soft Chisel for Coloring

I purchased this 60-color set of Ohuhu alcohol markers about 10 months ago for illustration work, and they have completely exceeded my expectations compared to much more expensive alternative brands. VIBRANCY & BLENDING: The color selection in this pack is incredibly well-balanced, featuring a great mix of vibrant mid-tones and smooth pastel shading shades. The alcohol-based ink flows smoothly without tearing the paper, and the blending capabilities are phenomenal. You can achieve seamless gradients effortlessly if you use proper marker paper. dual tips: The dual-tip design is highly functional. The fine tip is rigid enough for crisp line work and fine details, while the brush/broad tip holds its shape well over time without fraying or splitting at the edges. CAPS & STORAGE: The caps fit very securely, preventing the ink from drying out even after months of sitting on my desk. The included storage case is durable and keeps the markers perfectly organized vertically. PROS: • Rich, highly pigmented ink that blends beautifully • Durable tips that don't fray with heavy pressure • Excellent, travel-friendly carrying case included CONS: • The color names printed on the caps don't always perfectly match the dried ink on paper, so I highly recommend making a custom swatch card first. VERDICT: An absolute must-have for both hobbyists and experienced artists looking for professional-tier blending performance without paying premium boutique prices.

I’m a big fan of Ohuhu Honolulu markers and own the 320-color set, so I was excited to try the Soft Chisel version. The brush tip is just as fantastic as every other Honolulu marker—smooth, responsive, and a pleasure to color with. The Soft Chisel Tip: Despite the name, I didn’t find it especially soft. It does flex if you press down, but that also forces a lot more ink onto the paper (see my video). Used like a traditional chisel tip, though, it creates a nice variety of line widths and works well. I just didn’t find it to be a significant improvement over a standard chisel. The 60-Color Illustration Set: I completed an entire coloring page using only this set to see how versatile it was. The colors are vibrant and coordinate beautifully overall, but a few things stood out. The blue shades don’t blend particularly well, which was disappointing for skies. The browns lean heavily toward yellow and orange, and I kept wishing for a true taupe. Most of the grays are cool-toned, while I tend to reach for warmer grays. I also missed having a light pastel green for highlighting grass, trees, and plants. Since Ohuhu labels this the “Illustration” set, I suspect it was designed more with drawing in mind than coloring books. Looking back, I think the 48-color set would have been a better fit for the cozy coloring books I enjoy. Overall, these are still high-quality markers with the excellent brush tip Ohuhu is known for. The Soft Chisel tip is nice, but it wasn’t a game changer for my coloring style, and I would choose a different color selection if I were buying again.

Beautiful rich colors! Make sure you do the color swatches that come with it because the cap color isn’t exactly the ink color. I went onto the Ohuhu website and printed the full sheet size of the swatches and then after I filled them in I laminated them. Then I use the back side underneath the page I am working on if my page is too thin because they do bleed thru thin paper. They are acid free so great archival quality. I did need to practice a little with them to get used to using them but overall I highly recommend!

These alcohol markers are just as described. The colors are vibrant and they blend easily with the included colorless blender. The quality is excellent and I've had no problems with the ink flow. I purchased the portrait tones markers with 24 different colors that are perfect for blending and creating a variety of skin tones in a variety of projects, but can be used for other projects as well. It also includes a color swatch card that I completed and love that I have this sample of each color to help me decide which one fits my project. The price seems high on the various sets, but I feel it is well worth it. I highly recommend these alcohol markers and will be looking to buy other sets.

I absolutely love Ohuhu's alcohol markers. I bought these along with some other sets to replace my super old bullet tip ones. (I really wanted brush tips). I'm actually quite the fan of the soft chisel. I wish they'd make more of the sets with this instead of the regular chisel. Definitely worth the money. My old ones lasted over 7 years I believe and were still going! (I passed them onto another.) So imo quality is wonderful, and they are incredibly durable.

Come on now, Ohuhu is the best, we all know that! The colors are really pretty and I love that it comes with the swatch card so you know you’re using the right color! I’ve had it for a good while now and they haven’t dried out so far at all! Definitely hold up! The bleed through so USE the backing page protector!!! (But it’s definitely worth it) I got these when they were on sale so it was a great price for the famous ohuhu markers! 🤍

Vivid colors, smooth coloring and dry quickly. If you lift marker and color again in the same area they don’t leave a noticeable line which I really like. Value for for money is unbeatable!

Both tips are so amazing... Smooth, Flexible and useful for broad as well as small areas. Blends well. Shades are perfect for portraits. Would have loved to have Black in the set instead of mixer one.
