4 piece Ganz Rooster Measuring Spoon Set

I have been wanting so badly Paula Deen's pewter measuring spoons & cups, but they are very, very expensive!! I saw these and realized that they are stainless steel, so I decided to get them because they were considerably less. They're pretty and have the rooster on them like I wanted. Maybe someday I can get the pewter (like when I win the lottery)!! I haven't had them long, so I haven't used them yet. My hope is that they will hold up like other stainless items I have and not rust (according to what they're made of, they shouldn't rust)!! We'll see. Somehow was expecting the little rooster thingamajig to place them on... it doesn't come with it. So these are not displayed in my awesomely decorated rooster themed kitchen, like I wanted. Instead, they are shoved into the drawer. Having that little thingamajig would have made displaying them nice. So only a 4 star, not because they aren't awesome but because their beauty can't ever be displayed. Hmmm, I guess they do keep the rooster flatware company. I suppose there are worse things than having a drawer full of cocks, right?

Spoons are rounded and you cannot set them down on the counter without spilling. You need to hold on to the spoon at all times.

I am writing this review only because I have not yet received my rooster spoons. I know I will like them if I ever get them, but the last day to receive was January 21 and it is now January 29. I don't know where else to go for results and have received no correspondence back. Thank you. Marilyn Breunig

these measuring spoons were purchased for my aging grandmother who loves roosters and chickens. However it does seem that the metal made from it is made out of tin and will bend easily. My grandmother mainly uses it for looks rather then using it for cooking. the ring that the rooster spoons came with is plastic and that will also break rather well so do not add too much pressure to the product. Other then that I think that I would spend my money of this type of product again if I had to just to see my grandmothers face light up again. I would recommend this to any rooster lover who will receive it which will made there day as well as yours a little more brighter.

I've started collecting these since I found a set of them at my mom's house after she died a few years ago. The are so charming and have such character. Beware them falling down into where your disposal is...some of them are small enough to go unnoticed until the disposal is turned on. Believe me. I like to wash them by hand; I've had the handles of the measuring CUPS discolor in the dishwasher. Now that I think about it, these have also discolored in the dishwasher too. They're still darling & charming, but wash by hand if you want to keep the pretty silver look. I'll continue to buy more, especially when I can find them for less than $20; they're unique gifts and fun to keep as well.

I CHOSE THE ROOSTER SPOONS FOR A REASON, BUT THE SET THAT ARRIVED WAS SEASHELLS. THEY HAD ARRIVED THE DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS SO I HAD TO GIFT THEM ANYWAY. IT TOOK 2 BOTTLES OF WINE TO CONVINCE MY MOM THAY SEASHELLS WERE HER FAVORITE.
