3M Medipore H-Soft Cloth Surgical Tape

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! I recently had a drain tube put in (sorry if TMI, but its important) and when they bandaged me up with the gauze underneath it, this is the tape that they used. It held better than any other tape I've ever tried before (and my mother was a nurse for 30 years, so I've tried a lot of different medical supplies!) UNTIL.... it got wet in the shower and I had to change everything. :( I will say, I probably could have left this tape on and it would have dried just fine, because it was still hanging on tight even after getting wet, but since I had to change the gauze, the old tape had to go too. So after trying a couple other kinds from the local pharmacy, I ordered this roll and prayed it was the same thing! Glad I did!! This tape is soft, breathable, flexible, sticky (but not sticky enough that it pulls terribly when you take it off), and is SO much more comfortable than the others I've tried! And it laaaaaaaaaaasts so much longer! I've had the same tape on for almost a week now, and its still holding strong. My only complaint about this versus the one that the hospital used? This one is perforated. BUT the perforations are pretty strong (it doesn't tear too easily), so it still gets 5 stars from me. I'm a fan! This will be staying in the first aid box once I'm no longer needing it! This is, without a doubt, the best medical tape you could buy if you need something that is comfortable, good for long term use, doesn't rip your skin apart when taking it off, and holds tight, even if it gets wet.

I've used this to keep my ostomy on if it starts to come off. It has alot of give so it moves with me and makes it more comfortable than those extenders and plastic tapes. I like that I don't have to cut it and that it just tears off at the perforation. It will hold for days and comes off very easily.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: great tape, I started using it and the redness of my skin decreased. Great product! The other tapes I have been using before was giving me troubles, itching and decrease in redness of the skin. This product is perfect, I love it, it goes ok with my sensitive skin.

It does not hurt to remove tape.

I bought this to keep my henna designs intact while the color was setting. It works pretty well! I love that it comes in little squares so you don’t have to cut it, and can just use a square or two if you don’t need much. My only qualm is that it’s kinda hard to get off because it’s SO sticky, and it does leave some residue that’s kinda hard to get off as well. But definitely a good buy compared to the name brand stuff that comes with much less for a higher price!

Was recommended to us by our nurse for a surgery I had on my chest to remove a carcinoma and she was right, the onl paper tape i ever had that actually stuck

I am a nurse doing wound care for multiple residents daily. I have found this tape to be much more effective than the paper tape the nursing home provides. Adhesion is very good and the Medipore tape conforms much better to irregular surfaces. A small price to pay for much better performance.
