I am fully aware of how much better fresh garlic is than this jarred stuff, but you will never convince me to not have garlic in the house ready to use. This fills a gap and works especially well in a few recipes where garlic is an ingredient, but not the main player. I use fresh garlic in recipes that have "garlic" in the name. There is no reason not to use a spoonful of this minced garlic in a tuna salad or a chicken salad recipe. The extra moisture from the water also helps sometimes.I spent a couple of years living on canned tuna and mac-n-cheese.
