This is an 'alright' meat thermometer. It works well, but I have found it to be off by a few degrees regularly. Depending on the kind of cooking you are doing this could be an issue. This could easily be the difference between rare/medium-rare or well-done steak. If you need a thermometer that is really accurate I would choose a different one.That said, if you are happy with it being a few degrees off at times... this is a fine thermometer. The transmitter and receiver have no issues communicating with one another. The housing is made out of plastic. You will need to purchase an additional 4 AAA batteries as this is sadly not included. There is a timer/stopwatch function on the device.There are 3 food probes and 1 (chamber/BBQ probe). You can either set it to Celcius or Fahrenheit.A stainless steel bracket is also included so you can always hang up your thermometer near your oven/bbq.For the price of this digital thermometer, I would have expected this to come with a small pouch or carrying case as there are quite a few small parts. I'm currently storing this in my kitchen cupboard using the original cardboard box the thermometer came in but that is not going to last in the long run.

The thermometer comes with three stainless steel probes which can be used to independently monitor upto 3 items at the same time. Each item being monitored can have a target temperature set against it so you can easily as well as timers and alarms which can be set to allow you to get on with other things, all information is displayed on a large clear backlit LCD display. The wireless unit whilst not absolutely essential is convenient allowing you to move away from the cooking source to concentrate on other things whilst still easily checking on temperature. The whole unit runs off 4 x AAA batteries (not included). Can't comment on value as no published selling price at time of review. Overall accurate well functioned and versatile, allowing easy temperature monitoring of three separate items, accuracy of temperatures is good within a few degrees.

These thermometers are a great way to ensure that your meat is cooked.When I am cooking steaks and people want them done at differently, I can check without having to cut the steak open, which makes it look unprofessional.It does say you can use these inside an oven, with the temperature sender being outside of the oven, however I am yet to use this feature as I only use the oven for roast dinners, where I know the chicken will be cooked.They are good value for money sensors amd they have enough features on the receiver too!

Very easy to use and no need stand next to oven and can cook perfect chicken and other meat
