Cรฉdric Grolet is simply the most talented pastry chef of his generationโhe was named Worldโs Best Pastry Chef in 2018. Food & Wine called his work โthe apotheosis of confectionary creation.โ He fashions trompe lโoeil pieces that appear to be the most perfect, sparkling fruit but are, once cut, revealed to be exquisite pastries with surprising fillings. They are absolutely unforgettable, both to look at and, of course, to eat. This lush cookbook presents Groletโs fruit-based haute-couture pastries like works of art. The chef explains his techniques and his search for authentic tastes and offers a peek into his boundless imaginationโhe begins the creation of each dessert by drawing. With 130 recipes featuring 45 fruitsโcitrus, berries, wild and exotic fruits, and even nutsโevery pastry lover will want Fruit, for inspiration and to admire the edible sculptures made by this award-winning star of French pastry making. Review: Would recommend! ๐ - Been reading this book for a while so I will leave a quick review. Would say Iโm a intermediate level pastry chef( worked in a patisserie for 3 years and self studying now) Ok what you need to know about this book! Firstly this isnโt really beginner friendly compared to the amount of books out there, I know you have seen the instagram reels and want to follow all his recipes ๐ which is great but this book is solely focused on how to work with fruits in patisserie also using techniques to make them look like fruits ๐ The bonus is the amount of amazing flavours you can make with recipes in this book! Which is another reason it is a great book to have but itโs actually little limited in its areas as it expects you to have a good understanding of patisserie to begin with to be able to make these recipes. In the end Beginner friendly 3/5 Knowledge 4/5 Flavours 5/5 Creative ideas 5/5 Good book to buy to increase your knowledge regarding using fruits with pastry( basically what the book says ) ๐ Ps. Packaging that the book came in was actually good Review: Very detailed - One of my favourite books ever

Perfect! But not for the home chef
I got this as a present for my boyfriend who is a pastry chef. He absolutely loves it - amazing. It definitely is for a more advanced chef, I don't think it would be for a home baker.

Beautiful
Perhaps not suitable for the average home cook as most of the recipes are very long and involved but an absolutely gorgeous book.

Not as good as I expected
Not what I thought it would be, a good book not a great book. Nice recipes and pictures, just not the dishes I expected. Nice for a coffee table.

Worth the money
Am amazing pastry cookbook. Even if you just buy it for the recipes, they are from one of the best pastry chefs in the world. It's worth every cent.
