Securtex Anti-Theft Daytripper Sling

I wore this bag for a three-week trip to Costa Rica and it was comfortable to carry, comfortingly secure, and surprisingly spacious! It was one of the best travel purchases I made. It held up really well to intensive use and jungle hiking. It feels high-quality and sustained no damage. It was reasonably water resistant, though when going into water intentionally or during particularly intense rainstorms, we stashed this in our larger waterproof backpack. I was able to fit so much inside, including my wallet, phone, earplugs, snacks, a Kindle, and even a standard plastic single-use water bottle, which I would shove in the back pocket and just refill. At times, I would toss a small puffer jacket that folds up small in there as well! We didn’t run into any sketchy situations where anyone attempted to get into our bags, and felt generally pretty safe, but having locking zippers, hidden internal pockets, and a back pocket hidden against my body did a lot to alleviate my anxiety around taking my first big adult trip out of the country sans parents. I liked that it was black so it looked classy and matched well with pretty much anything, and the floral pattern made it cute and gave it a bit more interest. I would recommend this to anyone, for travel or even just use at home.

I was hesitant to purchase this bag given several reviews noting it was too tight. I’m glad I made the purchase with the amount of adjustability it has it was never tight to me and it was the perfect bag for our trip. I felt my things were safe and it was spacious to hold what we needed. The quality is very nice and durable. The adjustable strap is thick and well made. Would definitely recommend this to someone traveling.

Five different 'pockets', two 'holders' for pens or similar, and three RFID credit card holders. I'm taking this on vacation with me, as it's a perfect bag to walk handsfree around any town, with it securely strapped around your chest or across your back. I took it on a day trip recently and it held a bottle of water, a wrap for my lunch, my iphone, cards, money, keys, my sunglasses, lip salve, eye drops, and wipes for my glasses. Very comfortable on my body and I feel that it's as secure as any such bag can be. The zipper pulls have all got 'clasps' that you can link to rings on the bag, or to each other, so that no thieving hand can reach in to either of the two main pockets. And someone else suggested using a metal twist ring on a luggage tag to provide a foolproof safety addition to link the clasp end of the strap to the ring at the bottom of the bag - great idea! It's a really good purchase that looks good, feels good, and IS good. Well worth the extra money spent.

I purchased four different Baggallini sling bags in slightly different styles and returned three of them, including this one. I've written reviews for all, including the one I kept. First, here were my top criteria for this style of bag: 1. adjustable strap that could be worn over either shoulder, 2. pockets and compartments that made sense and seemed like a practical use of space, 3. enough room to function as my personal item for long trips (Europe, etc.) and also be functional as my "Mom bag" for weekend sports days (which would be how this is mostly used), 4. comfortable wearing in the front and in the back. Secondary criteria for me were: 1. designated water bottle holder, 2. practical travel/anti-theft features. This particular bag did not meet all of my top or secondary criteria for the following reasons: This bag is a lot smaller than I expected. That’s the main reason I sent it back. I really thought this was going to be the one I kept. It was actually very easy to access and the pockets were very nice. The pockets open fully and you can see everything inside. It just doesn’t have a lot of room. If you are planning on this being a bag to put small souvenirs, I think you would be hard pressed for space. On the plus side, the strap was great. Nicely padded, easy to adjust. People of all sizes can find a comfortable length for them. Very easy to switch the strap from one side to another to change shoulders. The anti-theft zippers are high quality and easy enough to use if you are in a place where you feel like they need to be engaged. My secondary want was a designated water bottle holder. This didn’t have one, and it also wasn’t big enough to just put a water bottle in the main compartment. That was probably the deal-breaker for me with this bag. If you don't need/want a huge bag, this could be the right one for you. But the negatives outweighed the pluses for me on this one and I sent it back.

Very comfortable, very secure. Great for trip to Florence - made navigating big crowds less nerve wracking. Kept iPhone in the bigger pocket and smaller, easy reach items in smaller pocket. Credit card/id RFID pocket is a great feature. Highly recommend for city travel.

Great size w/ lots of security from a good quality bag company. The photo with the size is wrong. This bag is not 7 in High by 5 and 1/4 wide, it is actually 13 inches high by 8 in wide. But this was the size I was looking for. The biggest difference between this one and the Central Park sling, although they are similar size, this one has more security and has the double zippers that either you could lock together with a mini padlock or clip them on the D-rings provided so that people can't unzip your bag easily. I have owned several Baggallini bags over the years and they never disappoint, are very well made, durable & last a long time. I purchased the charcoal color because it was slightly less expensive and it's a nice neutral color. The bag is comfortable to wear and it's nice because you can wear it on either side and also flip it around to your back if you desire. The first smaller zipper section has a soft pocket on the inside for either a small phone or some sunglasses or something else. I can tell you that the front smaller first pocket that zippers is not deep enough to hold my Samsung S24 Ultra phone, I need to use the second larger compartment for that size phone. There are 3 RFID slots in the 2nd compartment. The second compartment also has a leash with a clip for a key and a zippered interior pocket. The third compartment that zippers is on the back side of the bag and is a nice secure spot to hold flat documents like passports or money Etc. Not sure yet if I will be keeping this bag since my phone does not fit in the front zippered compartment, but that would be the only reason I would return it.

Baggalini makes a nice purse for travel or just around town. I’ve learned that key words aren’t anti-theft if you’re looking for the locking zipper pulls, which is what I want so that you can have the option of wearing it in your back if needed. High quality, nice size.

The Portobello color is wonderful and will go well with everything I have in my wardrobe. My only concern will be to avoid staining this lighter color. I usually choose a dark navy or black for my bags but I hated the idea of wearing a dark ‘“blob” across my chest. A dark crossbody bag on my side is acceptable but not something which covers my front. The bag itself is definitely to be recommended ….a good size which is sufficient to hold the daily essentials when in crowded untrustworthy situations and offers well thought-out pocket features, smooth running zippers and strong clips. I chose this bag for its anti-theft protection as well. A trip to Japan in May is in the works but I read recently that major tourist attractions have been the scenes where tourists are being targeted by pick-pocket thieves. This sling which comfortably hugs closely to the chest and has all the anti-theft features will offer peace of mind. It also may accompany me on my European trip later in the year, although the countries and cities visited there will be safer than many others.

It's a nice bag, but the strap is too short for anyone over 5'10" or so..

I bought this bag because I was going to Europe for 18 days and wanted a bag that was secure. I already own several Baggalini bags so I know they are well made and I love their designs. I used lightweight cords to attach my phone and a bag with credit cards/cash to the clip inside the bag. I always felt my things were very safe and secure. The bag is comfortable to wear and I use it all the time now at home. I’m able to carry a small water bottle and all the stuff I need throughout the day. I am so happy with my purchase.

Perfect, safe travel bag

Comfortable to ware. Can be totally hands free and not worry about it slipping of my shoulder. Feels secure against pickpockets. Holds more than I expected but isn’t bulky. Very well made bag. Worth the money.
