Why do you keep saying ipads have magsafe? they don't, not a one. recent ones have magnets on the back, none have magsafe.

The seller/company response on December 28, 2022 is wrong when the responder said "All iPad that have MagSafe, which I believe are any models after 2020" and seems to be referring to either modern iPhones which have built-in MagSafe or perhaps that Apple cases for iPad use magnets... all of which are irrelevant to this product.

Despite the vendor's mistaken statement about iPads, the product-- for me-- has been a very good product and is unique in so many ways. So to summarize: 
1. The magnetic ring comes with the stand and has permanent adhesive and must be attached directly to the back of a compatible device such as the iPad Pro 12.9".
2. Alternatively, the company sells a separate back cover/case which contains circular magnets providing similar functionality to the magnetic ring allowing you to forgo the permanence of the magnetic ring.
3. If you are unconcerned with resale value of permanently attaching the magnetic ring and also use Apple's Magic Keyboard for iPad when away from the stand, then you can forgo the company's separate case. For me, after several months, this is a superior stand and I use the stand by attaching the magnetic ring directly to my iPad Pro 12.9" and then use Apple's Magic Keyboard for iPad when detached from the stand.
