FANTASTIC VACUUM BY VAX SUPERB
Fantastic Cordless Vacum, I saw ot advertised on the TV and wondered what it was like, I saw it on Amazon for an Amazing Price, and thought, since I have had my 6th Spinal Fusion, and in the last 6 weeks an Half a Knee Replacement, I need an Hoover that is not heavy, fully flexible, and cleans up as I have a dog and cat, who love to bring in the usual leaves and hair and anything they can find in the garden, so I am forever taking out the hoover, which was always a chore, but with this new Hoover, it is so easy, you just turn it on, it seems to do the job without any effort from me, it cleans all the edges with it's unique brushes on the side, and with the flexible head it goes under all the chairs and other furniture without having to do a thing, it is an Awesome Machine, you then find that one of the animals has been on the chair, so detatch the hand held device which is also where the filter is, and give it a quick wizz over and that job is done, no tubes, no attachments, no tripping over the wire, really awesome, to empty the container is so simple it is breath taking, you simply push the buttons, it comes apart, it has a very small filter, and where as normally you end up having to take the filter outside and brushing off the excess dirt left on the filter, this is like the machine has compressed the fluff into a flat mat, which you then you can literally peel off, I gave never seen anything like it, and that's it, nothing else to do, put the filter into the housing, put it together again which is so easy it unbelievable, attach the handheld piece to the main slim body of the hoover and off you go again, I would recommend emptying the filter very regularly as it not the usual size, it is like a small jar size and it does cover over quite easily, but because it is so easy to do, it is quite a pleasure to do it, their is a seperate filter, which again has an easy pull up action, rinse it out and let it dry and put it back, it couldn't be easier. I thought when I saw it originally it looked like a childs hoover that you bought them many years ago, just like Mummy's but I was soon proved completly wrong, it adjusts automatically from service to service, you can switch off the brushes to clean hard floors, and it is so simple it is amazing. This Vax Cordless Vacuum 2 in 1 Air Switch is Fantastic, suitable for anyone who cannot use a normal hoover because it is too heavy, someone who is disabled, or has arthritis and hands are affected, someone with heart and lung probems, as they cannot drag and pull around heavy things, so this is a BIG DEFINATE YES FROM ME.

Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed!
Customer type: Busy stay at home mum/working Dad with young children and no pets. My husband has psoriasis meaning we need to vac frequently! Expectations: I chose this vac as I wanted something quick, light and cordless with a handheld attachment for small spills. A vac that was quick and easy to whizz round with after mealtimes when the children have dropped crumbs on the carpet, and for when they've gone for their afternoon nap/bed for the evening. I read the reviews and it was clear that as a heavy duty family vacuum, this wouldn't fit the bill. So I bought a 'pre-loved' Miele vac for ยฃ50 from Shpock for 'proper cleaning' to use once a week or so. Reality: Everything is as expected... I use the Vax daily and it collects a surprising amount of dust and bits. I empty it after every use, which is extremely quick and easy to do. It surface-vacs the carpets, and does a great job of our wooden floors... this is where the LED light in the front of the vac really comes in handy for lighting up all the bits you need to vacuum. The handheld is fine for spills, although it only comes with a single attachment nozzle which can scratch fabrics and delicate surfaces... a brush type attachment would be useful. Battery: I have the charging base plugged in permanently on a shelf in our hallway and I put the battery back on the base after every use. As I only use it for a quick going round which takes a maximum of 15 minutes for our large 3 bedroom house, the battery life is fine. I found it to be a bit lacking when vaccing out the car - 30 minutes would be more ideal. But hey, I don't vac the car very often so it's all good! ;-) When I use my Miele, the difference is huge; the carpet pile is fully and deeply cleaned and looks and feels totally different after. Summary: This vac really comes into it's own as a 'quick daily going-over' vacuum. Don't expect a deep clean as you will be disappointed.

A good little Hoover
We have a 3 storey house, so a fairly large space to hoover. This Hoover won't do the whole house in one go as it only lasts 20 mins, so I use it along side my vax Hoover. What this product is good for are quick cleans, like doing the downstairs before bed as that's the area that gets the most traffic in our house. It's also good to use on the top floor for a quick clean or using the handheld to do the bathrooms. Unfortunately you don't get a brush for the handheld so I can't Hoover the stairs with it as we have dogs and their hairs get stuck in the carpet. Overall I'm fairly happy with the product but a lot of these cordless hovers don't have much of a battery life. You can spend more on a better battery but it becomes expensive then, so getting a deal on a cordless is pointless. Def worth a buy if you need quick cleans or need to Hoover up after messy kids :) It's light weight, easy to use, great swivel on the head of the Hoover, easy to empty the filter.

Don't purchase if you have pets or a girlfriend with long hair
This product has several excellent features which are unfortunately undermined by two fundamental problems. In terms of positives the product has excellent manoeuvrability and is highly adaptable with the hand held vac built in. The main vac works great on laminate flooring (and has a separate setting for this). However, the power / suction of the vac is inadequate for picking up even small bits of fluff etc. out of carpet. Unless you want to pick bits out of carpet yourself before hoovering it then you really won't like like this. The second main problem is that the mechanism at the foot of the hoover, which rotates to pick things up, gets clogged up after every use. This is predominantly due to hair getting trapped in the mechanism. I generally spend more time taking the vac apart to cut hair out out than I do actually using it. I've found the product so frustrating that I'm getting a refund and, as always, amazon have been more than accommodating in sorting this.

Average to good - could be much better
We have had this cleaner for a few months now and have used it extensively. The cleaner is composed of two parts: the main, upright body for floor cleaning, and a detachable, hand-held cleaner, to use on surfaces and difficult places. The upright body is just a shell - the main cleaner is the hand-held device. There is a detachable Li-Ion battery and a separate charger bay to charge it in. You could describe this cleaner as a hand-held device that someone made an upright body in which it slots in to convert it into an upright vacuum cleaner. The cleaner has a transparent plastic, dust container, so you can see the amount of dust collected. It is in two parts, the bin and a filter which prevents dust from entering the motor or escaping back into the room. The filter has a shaped plastic surface which you must insert the right way, which reflects the incoming dust particles away from colliding head on with the filter and thus clogging it up too soon. But you must insert the filter back the right way and there is no indication which way that is other than looking through the transparent plastic to make sure. Like all bagless cleaners, to empty it you'd need to tip the bin into a rubbish bag and shake hard to dislodge the dust. Dust has the tendency to fly up in the air, and quite stubborny refuses to leave the bin, unless you start to shake it. In addition you'd have to clean the filter which sits at the top of the bin. As a matter of fact as soon as you try to remove the filter you have just spilled dust all over the place. Best idea is to empty the bin and clean the filter outside at the bottom of your garden, or use your main vacuum cleaner to clean both the bin and its filter. The filter has writing on it prompting you to wash it every 6 changes. I have washed it once, trying to remove as much dirt as possible, and then it took an age for the filter to dry even on a radiator. Better do this late in the evening. Our house has hard floors throughout, with a couple of mats here and there. From the outset the cleaner lacks suction power and even on a hard floor, it performs better if you engage the roller (which is meant for difficult carpet cleaning spots). Maybe I am being too harsh comparing it with the electrical Henry, however I believe it would greatly benefit from more power. The cleaner makes heavy use of its battery and even after a whole night's charge I have found it abrupty cuts out and needs to be recharged again. The situation would have been much worse, I imagine, if it were to be used on carpeted floors. I believe it should have been offered with two batteries, similar to semi-professional drills and other power tools, so that you can use the device with one battery while the other battery is on charge. The battery is not very large, it's detachable so you can charge it on the separate charger bay, unlike other cleaners in which the battery is sealed in and cannot be removed. A second battery would allow you to carry on when the first has been depleted. The upright cleaner is easy to use, the head swivels and you can go over spots very easily. The whole cleaner is very light and ideal to use for spot cleaning when taking out the main vacuum cleaner seems a chore. Problem is we have got used to the convenience that we try to use it more than it's been designed for (power and battery life). Overall a good cleaner but not perfect, it could definitely benefit from stronger suction and a better battery.

Excellent and versatile cordless vacuum cleaner
Excellent if you use it for what it was intended. We already have a mains operated vacuum cleaner, but my wife wanted something which was lighter for those times when the grandchildren dropped a bag of crisps for example. She can pick this up and carry it around the house effortlessly, and it does a good job of cleaning the floor/carpet. The hand held part of the cleaner can be used separately - brilliant for the car. It isn't intended as a replacement for a more powerful mains operated vacuum, so if you intend to use it that way then the battery life and the power may disappoint you. It does take several hours to recharge the battery. Overall I'm very pleased with this and so is my wife. Effortless

Very poor suction. Dont waste your money
I never write reviews but had to for this useless product. Do not trust the reviews here. Probably from company employees. This vacuum is useless. Has no suction power at all. My ยฃ20 handheld cleaner sucks up more. Not worth the sale price and a complete rip-off at full price. The good things about it is it's light and very maneuverable. I have no carpets and it struggled on hard floors to pick up anything let alone having to use it on carpets. Save your money and don't believe these "vine" reviewers.

A powerful, handy wireless vacuum for its price point but not without its flaws
(Pros) A great vacuum cleaner for anyone who loves a wireless lifestyle. Powerful enough for almost all situations thanks to the brush that spins automatically when set to carpet mode. Also very flexible too in its maneuverability. Being able to quickly detach/reattach the handheld part is also a great selling point. (Cons) You should be given the option to turn the headlights off - they are automatically always-on when using carpet mode, which for us is how we use it most of the time - and lets be honest if you're vacuuming in the dark you've got problems, put your feet up and open a bottle of wine instead! I imagine it would go a long way to extending the life of a single charge of the battery if this feature was added. On that subject, the battery goes flat way too quickly for a battery of its size - if this really is the best battery technology for a vacuum at this price point then I'd like to see Vax include a second battery in the box for charging when the other is in use - or at least a discount on an extra unit. All-in-all this is a great unit for its price and will save you money replacing that ยฃ20-ยฃ30 vacuum you buy from Wilko two-three times a year, but it'll definitely still make you wonder if saving for a more expensive model would have been worth the wait.
