I love this
The bed is really sturdy and would be perfect for a child! I’m about 90 lbs and it feels safe to move around in but I’m not sure it would be the same for a grown adult. The instruction Manuel was easy to understand. I’m really happy about the price, especially because this was the only loft bed I could find with the ladder in the front (without being $200+). I was concerned about getting a 6ft tall loft because my ceiling are short (7.5ft), however I fit pretty good. Just have to be careful when I wake up so I don’t bonk my head.

it is sturdy but does shake a bit and makes noises
Well, the other reviews are true. When assembling, do not make all the screws tight until the end. The bed shakes a bit when I'm climbing up and down or moving around in the bed, and one screw was a bit loose after a few days. I used loft beds for four years before and knew these beds tend to behave like this. So I do not think there is any real hazard. The slats are made of relatively soft steel and I can feel them sagging a little bit if I'm kneeling in one spot of the bed. But I do not like to use mattresses and just used cardboards. A mattress would probably distribute the weight evenly over all the slats.

Love it
I bought this for my 8 year old son and he’s obsessed with it. We recently moved and his new room is a lot smaller than his previous so his “play area“ is a lot smaller than before so we figured getting him a loft bed like this would work to create more space for him, I was kind of skeptical because of the reviews . but I decided to go ahead and go for it and I’m glad I did it’s pretty sturdy it’s not wobbly the instructions were pretty clear it took me about an hour and a half you definitely need another set of hands to help you. I honestly don’t have any complaints other than the latter was a bit uncomfortable for my son to climb up and down. So just a tip for that, I went to Lowe’s and bought a 5 foot long foam pipe I found it in the plumbing area for less than $3! I believe it was 3/4 of an inch. so all I had to do was measure it to the length of the ladder step area, cut it with a razor, and it just popped on with no issue. I secured it with zip ties on the edges. And now I haven’t heard any complaints from my son.

Overall good bed
It was difficult to put together, def need at least 2 people because some of the pieces are so tight one person had to hold it while the other put it in place but it is pretty sturdy and looks really nice. My kiddo loves it!

Great bed, no creaks!
I waited a while to review this bed because I wanted to see how it held up, but I have to say it was a great value for the money! Me and a friend put it together in about 2 hours and I was very surprised to find how solid it was; no creaks, nothing. Other reviews are correct that the ladder steps cut into your feet something fierce, but that was a simple fix; I just put some pipe insulation around each of the rungs and then wrapped them in white duct tape. You can hardly see it and it adds both comfort and grip. All in all, a great buy! I love having all this extra space in my room!

Good value for money. A little wobbly but not a problem, it's totally safe.
I did not attach the ladder it comes with as that would hurt the feet. Instead I bought a Stromberg Carlson LA-2021460 Ladder which does not hurt the feet. The DHP Metal Loft Twin Bed is not as wobbly as the video one purchaser posted. Yes it wobbles, but if you put all the guard rails up it helps reduce the wobble. If you attach it to the wall, it will eliminate the wobble. But even with the shaking, it is safe.

Perfect for a young child/teen
I like this bed for the price and my daughter loves it but it was a pain to assemble and the holes did not match up. Some of the bolts ended up stripping or wouldn't screw in all the way because they didn’t line up with the precut holes they had in the metal beams. Had to replace some of these bolts before use. You definitely get what you pay for with this bed. Otherwise, it’s cute and if you can get it together and bolted correctly, it’s sturdy enough for a child. My 7 year old is over the moon about it, which is all that matters to me.
