Good Mask for visibility under water, relaxed breathing.
The simple one-piece design works well. I tested it in a swimming pool when it first arrived, and then used it for one trip snorkeling off a boat on vacation. The glass didn't fog up, so there was good visibility of everything under water. The snorkel work when breathing normally through my nose, and there was very little water intrusion into the mask. The snorkel is detachable so it's reasonably easy to pack. I didn't use all the accessories it came with (earplugs, GoPro mount, a plug to close the mask if you want to use it without the snorkel) but the simple design worked well for me (not a highly inexperienced snorkeler, but I have snorkeled before with the mouth-breathing kind of snorkel) and liked how when I came up to look around in the air, I was able to talk or breath through my mouth right away (as well as still being able to breathe through my nose all the time.) It has some kind of a valve on it that stops water from flowing into the breathing tube when you dive all the way underwater, but I didn't do that much except when testing it in a swimming pool. Most of the time this worked well for gliding along the surface of the water, swimming slowly and looking at fish and coral. I had the straps tightened when I first used it, so there was good suction, and it worked without adjustment when I was on vacation. Definitely a step up for me compared to the older kind, in terms of being able to breathe freely and see well. I never tried that bigger kind that covers your full face, but this simpler design that leaves your mouth free seems like a safer alternative if I'm ever coming up for air and don't want my mouth blocked, and works well enough that I'll just use this one again for my next snorkeling trip.

Buy with caution, do your research (UPDATED)
UPDATE: I used the mask. There are no YouTube videos or articles about these types of masks. I want to say, it feels kind of cheaply made. The snorkel is made out of some kind of cheap plastic that just feels cheap. UPDATE: The breathing apparatus is uncomfortable breathing through your nose. It’s not a full face mask (I tested the breathability through the nose and practicality; like I said there aren’t any reputable snorkeling, or diving articles about these types of masks, and I see why; because it’s not practical, the nostrils react and close themselves off to protect itself from something and so it makes it hard to breathe). The elastic band that goes behind your head also feels kind of cheap, but I like that you can easily tighten and loosen it quickly with a touch of a button. I also like that it contains earplugs; and I also like that you can disconnect the snorkel piece and pack it up in a luggage. It’s not too bulky like a full face mask. I also like that as you detach the snorkel, it also brings a stopper so that you can just use the mask. Again I’m giving this review because there is no articles from reputable magazines, website, or divers, etc., and none, if any YouTube videos. All I found was one video of a kid reviewing this mask 4 years ago and you already know how that went.

S/M is to wide for my 4 inch temple width
My adult female face in 4 inches wide at temple. It is 4 inches high from under chin to mid forehead. The S/M mask is 5 inches wide. It does not quite seal at the temples. It does just barely fit in height. This style without a mouthpiece would be good for people with tooth appliances, like dentures, partials, and braces. This style reqiures only nose breathing. It may not work for people with a stuffy nose, when swimming hard and breathing hard, it may be too awkward for those with extensive experience using the standard snorkle tube. It looks like this snorkel tube might be shorter than the traditional style so it may block breath more often in ocean waves, but this is just my guess. It seems to be well made and I really wish I could use it for lap swimming.

Great design! Give it a try.
We were heading to a snorkeling trip, so we bought the whole face mask and this one to try. I was a little worried about this product not having any real world feedback, but it seemed to fit my small face better than the whole face mask, so I decided to give it a try. Another hesitation that I had was the fact that I have nasal allergy, and one of my nostril is always plugged up. I wasn’t sure if breathing only through my nose was a good idea. Well, when I used it in the ocean, it totally met and exceeded my expectations. I didn’t have any trouble getting enough air through my nose, and it was truly nice to be able to talk and breath when out of the water without having to remove anything. The mask sealed well and didn’t leak. My husband tried the Will Lee face mask, and my kids used the traditional snorkel mask. I felt like mine was the best and most convenient design!! We later snorkeled in the turtle lagoon at the turtle center where the water was not nearly as clean as the ocean. It was nice that I could just keep my mouth closed without having to worry about anything getting into it was another big plus. I was recommending this mask to all my friends! This was only my second time snorkeling, and as a novice, this worked perfect.

Leaks at forehead 3 feet underwater.
I purchased this product specifically for snorkeling at the reefs. I've used it multiple times now and have had my friends use it also. No matter whose face they are on it will leak from the forehead. After your head goes 3 to 5 feet underwater. Which does absolutely no good considering it fills up the little pocket you have for your nose. I don't know how many people have sucked salt water in through their nose. But it is not pleasant especially when you're ten feet or better underwater. I strongly recommend not purchasing these if you plan on going underwater.

Not with it
My stepdaughter wanted this one as a 13 year-old girl because it didn’t look as silly as the full face mask. However, the full face mask is definitely the way to go. This one still does not perform as well as the full face and regardless of how silly the full face mask may look, it definitely is better than this half one. If you’re on the fence about the full face or half mask, just get the full face this one to not perform as well.
