Finally, Pain Free!
I am a 61-year old woman who has been struggling with neck and back pain for years. I just assumed it was part of getting older. Someone suggested I use a knee pillow - I tried it, but there was very little difference in pain levels. However, after using this pillow for just one week, I am waking up pain free - and I sleep much better! Finally! I highly recommend this pillow for back and neck alignment pain - it is truly a miracle in a pillowcase. However, I can see why some people might not like it - it is much stiffer than an average pillow, but it does have cushion; and according to the seller, it will adjust to your body over time- you just have to be patient. It is expensive, but for me, it was totally worth it to be pain free!

Expensive but very nice.
I bought this specifically to address neck pain I've been experiencing for a while. It took a few weeks but my neck feels much less stiff after sleeping on this pillow. Support is excellent, firm but not too firm. I think firmness is subjective but for me it's pretty much perfect. Slight give but doesn't allow my head to sink too far down. Also comfortable to side sleep on but I rarely do because of my shoulders. The only complaint I have is the price, it's ridiculously expensive for what it is but that seems to be all tempur-pedic products. If you have the money I say get it, if money is tight or you're debating I'd probably try something cheaper.

No more sore neck in the morning
I've had neck discomfort sleeping for the last 3 years and have tried many pillows. I finally ordered the TEMPUR neck pillow recommended by my friend. She swears by it and and has used hers for many years. Based on my repeated measurements I ordered the medium size pillow. It wasn't comfortable, I returned it and ordered the smaller size. I should have paid more attention to the note...if in between sizes order smaller of the two. The smaller one fits just right, providing needed support to my neck and placing my head in a better position. It works for me both side and back sleeping so my nights are more restful. Before I got this I was switching pillows every time I moved from back to side sleeping at night. The pillow was very firm to start with. I followed suggestions I found online to break it in. I would stand on it and bend it a few times the first few days. Now it feels great. My friend was right, it is the only pillow I need.

The SHAPE of this provides relief to back/side sleepers, but it is a bit too firm. will update
I am a back sleeper, very still and never move all night. The pillow is small (side to side) but works for me. I have the SAME version of this pillow, but it is older. My older one feels more gooey/dough like and my neck almost instantly molds to the old pillow compressing it very little. The newer version does not react as quickly to compress the foam and the foam is stiffer and firmer, not gooey/dough like so my head does rest a bit higher on this new one. Old foam Vs new foam is a completely different foam. +++What I love about this pillow is the SHAPE of it. This is what provides relief for my neck. If you happen to look at any contour pillows, they all market them as having 2 sides you can use. A 3.5" and a 4.3" are the typical measurements for those contour bumps. BUT if you want to use the 3.5" side, the other higher side still keeps your head up too high pushing your chin into your neck. The center slope is not low enough either. I consider that a major design flaw that they used in a way to market it to more people, large or small. It does not work for smaller people. Temperpedic has designed these CORRECTLY so you pick your own size pillow!! Small, medium, or large. These are the sizes of the contour bump heights, NOT the size/width of the pillow! I LOVE the design of this pillow, it is perfect for me having only one smaller contour and the other end flat. My chin is NOT pushed into my neck. Just a bit too firm, but not skin numbing firm. Not sure if I will keep it or not just yet. For side sleeping, this pillow's shape works for me too. My shoulders are not broad and my mattress is extremely soft so my shoulders do sink more into my mattress so a high pillow is not required for me for side sleeping. Again though, the pillow is a bit too firm and does not mold to my head/neck nearly as much as my old original Tempurpedic pillow does. I may try to heat it with a hair dryer or put it in the dryer first to see if that does anything for it before using it next. I wished they offered this in different densities.

Life changing pillow, buying a second one
For three years, I lived with chronic neck and shoulder pain. My quality of life really went downhill. First, I invested in two different coop pillows and they made things worse. Then, I started seeing a chiropractor. Finally, I started physical therapy. In the meantime, I was also using over the counter medication, a tens unit, etc. I also used an icing pack and a neck stretcher gimmick. It got to the point where I was investing a lot of money in hopes that I would find something that worked. After a lot of research, I gave this pillow a try, not expecting to finally find the answer to my problems . It’s incredibly firm so for the first week I took pain medication before going to sleep at night. After breaking it in, I have slept wonderfully and almost all of my pain has gone away. Now that I’ve been using it for three months, I can honestly say that it was life changing for me. I’ve recommended one to my physical therapist and my friend who deals with chronic issues.

Rock hard.
This is a rock hard pillow. I did hear from a number of people that this used to be a great pillow 10yrs ago, but apparently the quality went way down and sadly they were right. Theres no bend, there’s no slight cushion. Firm is ok, but this goes way beyond firm.

Improves posture and better sleep!
Over 50 years ago I had an accident that left me with a compromised neck and mobility issues. As I got older I started devloping an artrhritic neck, constant pain, blurry vision, and poor posture. PT, some injections, medication, and use of a traction device over the years have helped. Recently I researched cervical pillows which brought me to the Tempur Pedic Neck Pillow. Honestly in the first week I have noticed I wake up a lot more refreshed. My Garmin watch also tells the story of higher HRV, O2, and sleep numbers. I hope doctors and physical therapists will consider recommending better sleep posture to their patients. No one ever did for me. At my age it may be too late to correct 50 years of poor posture habits but I know I sleep better now and feel more refreshed. This is a good product and should help healthy people provide better sleep and posture.

Too firm for us
My wife and I each purchased one of these pillows because we're both side and back sleepers, and on paper they seemed like a great fit. Unfortunately, they just didn't work for us. The pillows are clearly well made, and the cover and overall construction feel like you'd expect from Tempur-Pedic. However, we both found them to be much firmer than expected. Instead of conforming to my head and neck, the pillow maintained its shape more than I preferred. After about a week of giving it a fair chance, I was consistently waking up with neck pain and decided to stop using it. That doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad pillow. If you prefer a very firm pillow with minimal give, it may be exactly what you're looking for. It just wasn't comfortable for either of us, so we ultimately went in a different direction.

Supportive pillow, good for short people too
I’ve used this pillow for a few months now. It took a few nights to get used to but it’s really worthwhile. I used to sleep on feather pillows and it always gave me neck or shoulder ache. This pillow is very nicely supportive. It’s quite firm so you’ll need to get used to it. There are two neck heights! As a short, petite person, I use the side with the shorter neck height with no problem. I’m a mostly back and sometimes side sleeper. Sleeping on the side is a little bit awkward because your arm can’t really go under the pillow easily. But I don’t consider it a deal breaker.

Great neck support
I bought this as a replacement for the same Tempur Pedic neck pillow that I've been using for over 10 years. My old Tempur Pedic neck pillow was starting to feel less comfortable for me so I bought a new one. However, I had a guest who used my old neck pillow and had no complaints about it. I love this neck pillow so much that I try to bring it with me during trips (if possible). I prefer to use my own pillow when sleeping on hotels because the neck support that I get from this pillow makes a big difference in the quality of my sleep. I strongly recommend this product. However, the medium size may be too small for some people.
