What's the difference between this Emberton and the original model?

The Emberton 2 has Bluetooth 5.1, whereas the Emberton only have 5.0. This is the multiple concurrent BT connections everyone else is mentioning. Also, better battery life.

Can you use this as a computer speaker with a wired connection? Can you turn the Bluetooth off and plug the usb c straight into the computer?

The bluetooth can't turn off. The USB C it's only for charge. The marshall app doesn't offer that option.
