Great for solo BJJ drills.
Bought this product to keep sharp with my bjj during lockdown. Inside is dense packing material (like you get in temperature insulated boxes from online food stores), and outside is woven PVU with a zip. There are 4 panels, with the central hinge direction being opposite to the ourside hinge directions. There are soft velcro strips at one side of the mat layout and hard velcro underneath so that more than one set of mats can be joined. Size-wise, the length (8ft) is adequate for sole drills (rolls, shrimps etc) but the width is too narrow to do much with a partner. Too narrow to sweep, and armbars need to be done without rolling them over. But if you have space you can connect two of these mats together and you'd have a really, really good setup. I did note that the covering was quite loose however on each outer panel. It was very noticable. I contacted holomall, the seller, and they requested pictures and issued a small part-refund immediately which was excellent. I trust this seller completely. I did find a solution to the loose cover - connect the outer panels to the central ones using duct tape. It's removable, doesn't damage the surface, and ensures that there's enough tension on the coverings. Piece of cake. UPDATE - IT DOES DAMAGE THE SURFACE! I tried removing the tape gently bit by bit and the black surface covering definitely does come off. And it comes off easily. But if you don't mind that, or if you're ok with not folding the mat fully after use then the solution works... If I had room, I'd love to buy another set and connect them together so that I can drill other moves and maybe get some sparring in too...
