Salewa Men's MS Wildfire Pro GTX Approach Shoe

I bought these shoes in May 2016 at Amazon. They have held up through jungles, transepts, hikes and river crossings etc completely well. I have taken them through the rainforest on the OSA peninsula in Costa Rica, the Swiss alps (Jungfrau), forests in Germany, in the Pauvre Sierra 2 hours north of Madrid, Through forests and hills in inland China, Korea, Belgium, Germany, the wilds along the Illinois River, , ... and in Hong Kong. Now in August 2017 they still are waterproof and working perfectly.I had EigerNordwand shoes (translate) and a Korean Boa tied shoes before this Salewa pair; each of these lasted less than 4 months before they leaked and broke up; luckily I could return them for a refund (Korean) or a new pair (Eiger Nordwand) which broke the same way in another 3 months and landed in the trash unceremoniously. My pair before the Salewa was a leather German shoe bought in Munich behind the Rathaus during their Olympic year (1976) and it lasted ~ 40 years, through the Alps and so forth. Don't even bother with another shoe or brand is my suggestion.

Best shoes ever. I was hesitant to purchase because of the burrito tongue, but the fit is amazing. I feel like I am in my top end Asolo boots with virtually no weight. Grip, comfort, feel... amazing. This is my first Salewa product and it will be hard not to go back.

Best shoes i every have bought even for the price. The color and style is cool looking and the comfort is perfect. I suggest getting a half size small i wear 10 and got 9.5 could not fit better

These are great shoes. This one is my second purchase. The previous pair were great as casual shoes, urban trekking, mountain hiking, and mountain biking. And, they are stylish and attractive.

I really like the shoes. They look cool, they fit great. The only complaint I would have is the soles don't seem to have much cushioning. I wore them to work where I have to stand on my feet about 9+ hours a night and after a few hours my dogs were barking. To be fair, it was at the end of the week and it could have been an accumulation of several nights on my feet. I'll try them again on a Monday and see if I get the same result. If so I'll swap out the insole with an aftermarket brand.

Awesome shoe. extremely comfortable. I could wear them all day....BUT pricier than a full waterproof hiking boot -- i don't get it. Too pricey to buy.
