Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this for a full size 3-18x50 scope for modern sporting rifle. I was concerned with the eye relief being an issue, but to my surprise, I had plenty of room between the cantilever and upper to get the scope set up properly. I was also s skeptical of the quality, but it is well built, machining and coating look to be perfect. Not sure why anyone would spend 200-400 on boutique/high end bases, when Arken and Vortex have such quality products. I suppose if you need the bling, spend the money, I would rather put the money in the scope.

This mount is a lot lighter than it looks but is beefy in the right places. Included hardware is larger than most but no worries about holding power or stripping something out. It looks great! The mount height is 1.5 inches if anyone was wondering. I began lapping the rings (as I do with all my mounts) and the machining tolerances are really tight. My lapping bar didn’t require much time and effort to show this is a precision optic mount. For the price I am well pleased. The quality is on par with mounts at 3-4 times the price. “Update” 2 of scope cap screws broke in the mount rendering it useless. Mount design is great, might want to use some American hardware to prevent this from happening to you. Screws were properly torqued with wheeler in/lb fatwrench to 15-16 in/lb.
