Solid keyboard with lots of features
Reviewed: White w/ RGB lights, blue switches Overall rating: 9/10 (36/40 = 90% recommendation) After doing alot of research, I chose this keyboard based on a few factors that were very important to me: PRICE, QUALITY, FUNCTION, & AESTHETICS. As I was in the market for a keyboard for the purposes of typing, gaming is not a factor in this review. Overall, I think this keyboard delivered pretty well in almost all areas that were key in my purchasing decision. Price: 10/10 Of course I would always want the lowest price possible, but I think given the quality and features of this keyboard, the price is pretty reasonable - especially considering that it feels substantial (overall good build quality, metal construction) and the high number of very customizable lighting effects. At this price, from what I could find, this keyboard simply can't be beat. Quality: 10/10 I am really impressed by how solid this keyboard feels. The base is sturdy, the LEDs are very bright (with beautifully smooth transitions), and the blue switches provide delicious tactile and audible feedback. It makes this keyboard truly a joy to use (yes, I am writing this review with it right now!). The keycaps themselves are a hard plastic that adds to the well-made and solid feeling of the keyboard overall. Function: 7/10 While overall the keyboard is received is perfectly functional, I was ideally looking for one in this same style (white, RGB, mechanical), but with a 10 key number pad built in as well. It just does not exist for the most part. There are other brands that provide the 10 key functionality, but based on those reviews they are either not good quality, or in my search others were out of the price range for what I was willing to spend. Additionally, I use a Mac - while this keyboard is basically compatible, I would love to see some options for an RGB mechanical keyboard that is more made for Mac. This one gets the job done - but it does leave some to be desired as far as dedicated features go. As I stated earlier under quality, the function of the keys is incredibly satisfying to type on. I have also found the functions to choose the color pattern and speed of the LEDs to be straightforward and easy to use. I am particularly impressed by the smooth, beautiful transitions and fades of the built-in patterns. Aesthetics: 9/10 Finally - I was specifically looking for a white mechanical keyboard with RGB functionality. I know that this limited my options substantially right off the bat. I chose this one because the layout is simple and beautiful, the range and possibility of LED color combinations, and for its compact size (if I couldn't find a 10 key option, I figured my next best bet was to choose one that was reasonably compact). The font of the keycaps is not a personal favorite of mine, so I could see myself potentially changing out the keycaps at some point, but that is a low priority for me in the grand scheme. Overall, this keyboard looks great on my desk and I am really pleased with the compact size and the white color. Other than not having a 10 key option, this keyboard was aesthetically almost EXACTLY what I had envisioned. Overall I am very satisfied with this keyboard and I am happy that I chose it. I will update this review should anything change or if I realize I forgot to mention any important aspects. I hope this review has been helpful to you, and thanks for reading!

Satisfies Needs....
There are three major reasons why I like this keyboard so much: 1) blue keys 2) look 3) build quality and 4)size. This keyboard satisfies these needs very well! 1) Blue Keys - If you like miss the feel of clicky keys, this keyboard satisfies. It fits perfectly with my size 7 hands. It feels like the perfect form factor. 2) Look - White seems to be in! I combined it with my white desktop (a white Li Lian 205M) and it looks great. The RGB satisfies, the features are adequate, and I really DON'T need programming features. 3) Build quality - This is my 3rd Redragon keyboard, and every one I have bought has felt solid as a rock, at an economical price. This one is no exception. A key puller is included to show that they take interest in key mechanisms. 4) Size - I like smaller keyboard footprints. I was a little apprehensive about not having a keypad. If it were an option, I probably would have gone for that instead. The smaller keyboard footprint makes up for the lack of a keypad, though, and I am thoroughly enjoying this keyboard. If I have any other insight about this keyboard, I'll post, but my immediate impression is that this combination of great features and great price make it the best package for me in 2021!

Perfect jack of all trades keyboard
Pros: -Blue Outemu switches are clicky and have compatible "cherry" stems for many different keycaps. -The on keyboard customizable RGB is nice, with bright colors as well as pleasant different types of "profiles" to change how the lights act. -Comes with a keycap puller in the box, although it's a little cheap IMO it's better than nothing. -Ten Keyless design (TKL) is perfect for me because I don't use a number pad and the extra space gained is perfect for more mouse movement. -Plug and Play keyboard, no drivers or software to install. -The rubber feet/kickstands take some force to move, however, this also means they don't plan on moving or adjusting once they're in place. -Specifically, this white model IMO looks better compared to every other black "gamer" keyboard on the market. -*CLAIMED* hot-swappable mechanical switches, this is advertised on the box the keyboard arrives in and appears to be true when you take some of the keycaps off. I'm unable to test if this is true though because I don't have additional switches or a switch puller. Cons: -Like every other Chinese alternative keyboard, the font on these keycaps screams "gamer," thankfully the included keycap puller can help you change the keycaps, as well as the switches being used, have the same stems as cherry switches. -The included booklet's English pages could use a bit more proofreading, and you'll be referring to this booklet a lot to help change the RGB modes as well as colors in case you forget. -The included booklet also claims to download drivers for the keyboard from their website. However, when going there, none was found for this specific keyboard. -Open sides on the keyboard easily allow dust to build upon the keyboard, however, these open sides also help keep the cost down. -The function's secondary uses are useless IMO, except the media controls I think everything else should go. -Non-braided cable, but it's not the end of the world. Overall: For a price of 50USD, this keyboard is quite a banger. Yes, it has things I consider to be problems, however, I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt to this keyboard simply because of its price, you're not paying for advertising, you are mainly paying for the product. I stumbled upon this company while on the search of a new keyboard and kept them in the back of my mind for months now. They had exactly what I wanted, a white keyboard with RGB and loud, clicky switches. The font on the keycaps does scream gamer but many other Chinese companies source the same keycaps for their keycaps (This also helps keep the cost down.) I do wish the USB cable was changeable, I would prefer having a braided cable mainly for aesthetics, but the rubber cable appears to get the job done perfectly fine. The switches are a joy to type on, however, due to them being the clicky blues they are, online friends through voice chat are not going to like you, and if you have anyone else in the room with you they're also not gonna like you. But these are the things you have to deal with. The RGB doesn't have an amazing selection of colors, but I don't care because I'm sticking with the pink color, the different RGB modes are nice and flashy, but they're too flashy for me. Overall I would highly recommend this keyboard for a first-time mechanical keyboard user and those who have experience using mechanical keyboards, who also doesn't wish to break the bank buying a "premium" (name brand) keyboard. 9/10

Beautiful, Dependable, Satisfying
If you're like me you love the click's and clack's of a mechanical keyboard, you'll be happy to know this keyboard satisfies that love. Not only does it sound great when typing it feels very fluid to type and game on. I will say it can be loud and your online friends may complain about the noise but who cares as long as you're satisfied. As far as the RGB lighting, BEAUTIFUL, with 18 different color combinations and animations you will never get sick of looking down at this beauty. As far as functionality it has worked like a charm ever since buying it about 3 months ago. I have experienced a few instances of keys not responding when holding down multiple keys at a time which can suck if it's life or death in a game but it is so infrequent that when it happens you barely think twice. The quality of this keyboard is unquestionable and it being a cheaper option than many other Mechanical Keyboards out there it is definitely on par with them despite the price. If you are looking to get into Mechanical keyboards or you just want a new one I highly suggest this one. I was torn between this and a more expensive one that happened to be black in color and I have to say once this thing arrived and I saw that white keyboard with the Grey Key linings I never thought twice that I made the wrong purchase. Great product, would buy again if given the chance.

Clacky boi can be tamed
We stan a clacky boi and boi does he clack. Tl;dr? This little roaring dragon is a fun little attention hog and worth the very little bit of effort it takes to tame. O-rings and a towel did the trick. The little Kumara is like an excitable younger sibling compared to the other mechanical keyboard I have. It's bright and loud and wants attention, and I love it. COLOR / LIGHTS: It's got so many RGB presets I don't think it even remembers what they all are: sweep left/right, pulse, shimmer, fade, pulse, solid color, touch light-up — the list goes on. (You can cycle through them all mechanically with FN+INS through PgDn and change the color of the solid-color ones or the pulse direction with the arrow keys.) The white case/keys make the RGB lights pop. And it's got quite a lot to say while you're typing. SWITCHES: These blue switch keys have a bright, bouncy feeling to them that I can't get enough of, along with their satisfying click. SOUND: It's not just the blue switches that make it audibly loud. Three sounds make this little wyrm the loudest in his clutch: (1) you've got your clicks, which come from the switches themselves; (2) you've got your clacks, which come from the plastic keycaps striking the body when they bottom out; and (3) you've got a ping resonating through the metal body when the keys pop back into place. Take all those and put them on a metal/plastic combo body that amplifies like a drum and you've got a keyboard that sounds like a room full of tiny, angry, old-timey reporters live inside. But don't be scared off by the Kumara's roar. It can be tamed! Don't get me wrong, this will never be a quiet keyboard, but you shouldn't be looking at blue switches if you want quiet, anyway (switches are differentiated by color; blues are designed to go "click!"). MODIFICATION: Here's how I brought this wyrm to heel: 1. O-rings, specifically the Cherry MX Rubber O-Ring Switch Dampeners Blue . The blues are more noise dampening than Cherry's red. You can get an off-brand or try to do something yourself and you might be fine, but I picked the Cherries so I'd know what I was getting. The Kumara came with a keycap remover, so all I had to provide was the rings and a pair of modeling tweezers to slip them on with. The rings keep the keys from bottoming out and clacking against the keyboard body, which was the source of the truly clamorous clatter. 2. I pulled apart some cotton balls and stuffed them inside the larger keycaps to reduce open spaces that resonate. The difference is barely noticeable, which is why I only worried about the larger keys. But it's a little something if you want to go that extra bit. One of the other reviewers took the case apart and inserted foam columns, which would probably do even more. 3. I have a lovely scarf I never wear that I put under the keyboard. It's pretty and it keeps the desk from further amplifying the noise. You can also use a small towel, or one of those extra-large gaming mouse pads (like this one if you want something more subtle than a patterned scarf. With these really simple modifications the Kumara only roars as loud as I want it to, while I get to enjoy all its bright exuberance. OTHER NOTES: 1) My use case is typing long documents and programming. I cannot speak to its performance as a gaming keyboard, though I've heard a different switch type besides blue might be better. Google up mechanical switch types to find what's right for you if you're a serious gamer. 2) I use this with a Mac (Macbook Pro) with no problems. I haven't extensively tested the function keys' media control functions, so I can only say the volume up/down both work. I had to tell the computer what kind of keyboard it was when I first plugged it in but since then it hasn't asked, even after disconnecting/reconnecting it. And it took about 30 seconds to go through the auto-detection process, so no big. 3) The keycaps are easy to remove and seem like any basic hot-swappable cap, and the switches aren't soldered in, so I presume it's possible to swap them as well. (Note that I'm not sure how the fact they are proprietary plays into the ability to repurpose them or whether that affects what the board accepts.) In conclusion? It's not a perfect keyboard, but it's perfect for me for the price. Worth a go if you're curious about mechanical keyboards, don't care about noise, don't mind a few extremely simple modifications, or just want something to tinker with.

Perfect intro to mechanical keyboards👌
For the price, you really can’t beat this keyboard. I’ve had it for a little over two weeks and have had no issues; it’s very responsive, and the RGB lights are very bright. However, it is clacky as can be, in true blue switch fashion! If you like the sound of keyboard smacks, then this is the perfect daily ASMR for you. Since it is loud, keep in mind any fellow tenants - if they like it too, you’re in the clear! The RGB presets are many and I haven’t yet explored them all. Case is sturdy and feels very high-end, a bit heavier than I was expecting, and does not budge on the desk. Stock keycaps are great quality, just not my personal aesthetic, so I did swap them for pudding caps to take full advantage of the RGB shine. 🌈✨ (Also recommend that anyone else with this keyboard snag some pudding keycaps, it’s an honest delight lemme tell ya) As an introductory mechanical keyboard, this is the perfect buy. Definitely higher quality than the other brandless or fake brand RGB keyboards you see in this price range on Amazon!

Good budget white gaming keyboard
I like it! Recently set up a budget gaming set up to get into the PC gaming world, and I needed a cheap starter keyboard. For my set up aesthetic it had to be white. Saw this and decided to give it a shot! Sturdy build, and the leverage is just right for comfortable typing. I don’t notice any input lag at all. Keys are clicky and very responsive. RGB is wonderful and it is easy to click through different settings and modes and brightness. Only gripe is it’s a pretty loud keyboard. This is something you can expect though from a cheap gaming keyboard with blue switches. It’s just going to have a louder typing sound. The logo is also a bit much. Other than that it’s a good starter choice and it’s a good size if you’re looking for something compact or that will work for limited surface space.

Good starting MK for the price!
Thanks to the folks over at r/mk I was finally inspired to grab my first mechanical keyboard. The Kumara Red Dragon K552 has a 10 key layout and is back lit (rgb). The casing itself is made from plastic but it has a good weight and feels sturdy while typing or gaming. It has rubber feet as well as flip out feet stands on the top side of the keyboard. The keycaps themselves are made from ABS plastic and cherry mx compatible so it’s easy to remove and switch out if you’re not happy with the ones that come with it. The switches are Outemu blues and quite loud which can be a turnoff if you’re using this in an office or shared space. Lighting options can be a little tricky to operate if you don’t have the Red Dragon app (downloadable from their website). Beyond the noise level and kind of difficult lighting access, this keyboard is a great starting point for someone who is looking to get into mechanical keyboard but not wanting to spend an exorbitant amount. I use this keyboard both for typing (I average around 75-80wpm on it) as well as gaming. Solid keyboard, solid price!

Excellent Keyboard Even After Long-Term Use
I've been using this Redragon mechanical keyboard for a long time, and it still performs like new. The keys feel satisfying to type on, the build quality is solid, and the RGB lighting still looks great. I've used it daily for work and gaming without any issues. Definitely a reliable keyboard and worth the price. Highly recommended!
