Awesome!!!
Update almost a year later. Phone works just as it did when new. The lastest update to Android 15 really fixed some minor issues and I swear it fixed the bottle neck issue . Its like the phone was being held back. It's far more fluid and responsive than before m like a new phone. I live on this phone for work lots of apps email calling. It's like my pocket PC on the go! I'm extremely pleased with the phone . Highly highly recommend!! Lastly bought my wife the 12R to quote her I'll never go back to Samsung this this is freaking awesome and the battery charges to fill in like 10 mins ha ha . And the battery goes forever !So 12 or 12r version I donk you can go wrong . The 12 take stunning photos and honestly her 12R can hold its own. Original review First let's address the poor fellow who let the low star and shipping. I pre-ordered this just like everyone else. And I too experienced the whole gonna be this date and so forth. Thats the post office for you bud!! I got mine. Now back to the phone. Battery. Life is. Outstanding. Camera pics onxe you lean the modes is fantastix. The zoomed mode works well. Video recording is good. Speakers sound is loud with a touch of bass. Haptic feedback is unreal on this phone. So far there nothing I've found that I don't like. If your new to one plus plan on spending a ton of time getting to tweak things the way you like. This. Is my first with one plus. Came from a Samsung note ultra series and this blows the Samsung out of the water in my view. Fast charing fast charing holy..... It's nuts. There so much that this phone is offering I don't think you be displeased. Go for broke and get one!!! And for the internet warriors about the camera. I sapped a ton of picts with it and am quite please with the shots. Details and saturation for me look better. I'm really diggin this phone. I took a leap on it as I've never owned or used a one plus. My son has a nord series and loves it. Now I see why.

The OnePlus "Everything Phone" Is Back.
I had just about given up on finding a suitable replacement for my dying OnePlus 7 Pro (battery health is 70% and the USB-C port and various radios are acting up) when I finally stumbled onto the 12 series. I first tried the 12R but I hated the camera and, to be honest, I still don't like the point-and-shoot performance of this one vs the 7 Pro with the GCam app, but I love the optical zoom lens and I'll figure out a way to make the rest of the cam cluster work for me. It seems to suffer mostly indoors with the main lens. And there's a weird push toward a lack in depth-of-field in digital imaging sensors or post-processjng (I don't know which) these days that I'm not loving too much. I don't shoot video hardly at all and a 32MP selfie cam just seems like overkill to me but, camera business aside, the phone is like a laptop you can hold and use anywhere with one hand. I'm a OnePlus guy but the last few series just didn't seem worth an upgrade and now this thing is just ridiculously powerful and anything else you can imagine in a phone. It has more customization than I can really force myself to dig into and the basic stuff is easy to get to. I don't care what ColorOS folks say—OxygenOS is more than anyone needs. I don't need color notification icons on my lock screen. Give me a break. If I need thousands of wallpapers and stuff to choose from, the Zedge app is free and exhaustive. And I'm not much on style, to be honest, but the backplate on this (green) thing is the most gorgeous device surface I've ever seen. I really didn't think the blue backing on the 7 Pro could be beaten. Fuh-gettaboutit. I wish I could bring myself to use the thing without a case, it's that attractive. This thing (the 512GB/16GB version) has as much storage as my laptop and twice as much RAM. It charges from 0-100% wired (CHARGER INCLUDED IN THE-BOX HERE—SAMSUNG, GOOGLE, SONY!) in a half-hour and wireless in an hour AND the charge seems to last forever. Sometimes it seems like it takes an hour or two for the indicator to come down off of 100%. The old, nagging "Where's the charger?" feeling is really nice to be over but admittedly not completely banished from my head yet. It honestly feels like I only need to charge it in my car (SUPERVOOC 80w Car Charger only $20 here) for a few minutes a day and never at home. I'm seriously considering turning on the "charge only to 80%" battery life saving thingy-ma-bob/feature/setting. The performance is just breathtaking. I honestly don't think I'm going to bother replacing my 6-year-old Dell Inspiron when it finally gives up the ghost. As good a value as it is compared to other brands' flagships, $900 is not what I originally set out to spend on a new phone. No complaints, though. I understand the effects of post-COVID Tech economics and I'll just have to sacrifice somewhere else. Hopefully it'll hold up for another 5 years or so like the 7 Pro did. OnePlus really knocked it out of the park with this one. :)

Samsung user converted
If this is OnePlus after they fell off, I can't imagine what they were like when power users sang their praises. Been daily driving this phone for about a month. It has smoothy replaced my old Galaxy S9+ which to its credit still works perfectly but no longer gets patches and is showing it's age. 2017 flagship < 2024 mid range. I caught the OnePlus 12 on a sale at 550 usd. If you can get it at that price it is very worth it. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has handled any difficult task I throw at it including high end console emulation. The battery life is great. I charge the phone only every 2 days with my normal use and even when I put 8 hours of screen on time on it during the first day that only dropped it from 100 to 50%. The included supervooc charger is fast, like worryingly fast. 0% to 50% in 30 minutes still does not compute in my head but it really does it. I probably would not exclusively use this charger for lifetime battery longevity concerns but it is nice to have if I need to head out all day an only have time for a quick charge. The 120hz display is probably favorite feature. I use high refresh displays on PC all the time and using my old Samsung phone to take these photos made the 60hz display on it feel quite sluggish. Cameras, I don't really care about cameras or socials. These are good. Better than I need. IR Blaster is a nice party trick. I'd use it more often than the reverse wireless charging that's for sure. The only con besides the loss of 3.5mm audio jack is that phone is quite slippery on the back. Silky Black is not just the color way. Silky is exactly how I would describe the feel. This makes the phone really easy to drop if you are not used to a phone this big. I fixed both these issues with accessories. Case and usb-C dac.
