Although I used Tetra tropical fish flakes for many years I thought the price increase after the new design was used made it very expensive, so I decided to try another brand that I use to get my koi food and thought it would fine, well I can tell you I was very very wrong and once again learned that the cheaper food although looked very similar it destroyed my aquarium with wasted food build up and the water quality was horrendous with the water becoming cloudy and a strange colour so I ordered this tub of Tetra and I am confident my fishes health and colours will improve plus the water quality will stay much healthier with less waste. I am sure my fish can taste the difference compared to the cheaper brand as they are nearly falling out of the aquarium as they try to get as much of this food as possible, so my little fish definitely prefer this flake. What I was very impressed but also shocked at was how big the tub is and when opened the tub is full to the top with no wasted space. I actually feel better about how I feed my fish again because from previous experiences the fish I have raised on tetra flakes have good growth, strong colours, are full of energy with little to no waster and the water quality is so much better. When I saw just how big the tub is I no longer think it is too expensive, in fact it well worth buying and as long as I store it correctly it should last for some time.
