Good but not the same
Good pan but not as thick as my other Cal pans. Handle also not the same. It releases food well and is not too heavy for a big pan. Made in China ๐ค

Non stick and a good size for certain meals
Great pan. It replaced a pan I was using for 25 years.

Calphalonยฎ Hard-Anodized Nonstick 12-Inch Frying Pan
This pan is not as heavy as I thought it was going to be, but it matched an 8" I had used periodically. Used the 12" last night, and there was no sticking -- cleaned up easily. $50 for a suggested price of $110, what could go wrong? Replacing a ceramic coated pan that was a dismal failure. Although we had years of use with ceramic pan, the finish was wearing and things were sticking. Back to Anodized.

Treat it like a worthwhile long-term investment
This item is admittedly quite expensive. But it can also last you a great many years if you take care of it. That makes it more like a long-term investment. For example, mostly cleaning it by hand instead of putting it in the dishwasher. I cooked some poached eggs and it left a chalky residue. I almost returned the pan, but a little white vinegar removed the mineralization like magic.
