Jamo C103, youre going to like these.
It's been mentioned these are too large to be called "bookshelf" speakers, not so, speakers the size of Klipsch Heresys are called bookshelf and these are way smaller.Ok, now that that's out of the way let's continue with the review.Great looking speaker that could do without the JAMO logo and plastichrome trim rings around the drivers messing up its clean lines. But it's about the sound that really matters now isn't it. Great bass output from such a small speaker, especially considering it's small woofer, this due to the huge rear port. Being on the back the port has no chuffing issues but does make speaker placement more finicky. If facing into a corner the rear port can become quite boomy, stuffing the port eliminates this issue but severely diminishes bass output and lowers power handling. A good subwoofer helps but the power handling will still be diminished. If wanting to get the most out of these, set them on a pair of 12" subs as stands, dial in the subs for proper integration and you have speakers to rival much larger systems costing considerably more.As for price, definitely worth the MSRP of $1800, at the bargain basement prices these go for when the crazy sales appear on Amazon? Forgetaboutit lol. Among my dozen or so pair of speakers in rotation I'm currently running a pair in high gloss black in my main system, and waiting delivery on a pair in walnut. My next speaker purchase will be the Jamo C109 towers, I've become a real Jamo fan.Edit: I should mention these are quite forward out of the box and require a minimum of 100hrs to fully break in so don't get impatient with them on first listen.

Great Sounding speakers
These speakers sound great. The low frequencies that these produce at low volume/db are amazing. Very detailed and accurate sounding. The high frequencies are good but there is room for improvement.I'm not a big fan of its looks , specially the grill, so giving it a 4/5

These are amazing speakers if you can get them
These are amazing speakers if you can get them. They're definitely bigger than your average bookshelves.Pros:Wide soundstage: Sounds seem to come from all over the room instead of coming direct from the speakers themselves.Sound clarity: the table on these is not as relaxed as something like the Elacs. On most songs and movies this comes across as very clear sounding. However. on some media it can be a little harsh. The harshness has relaxed as these have broken in.Bass: These have good clean, tight bass, which depending on what you listen to make not even require a sub. They are rated down to 45 hz so for a lot of music you might be fine but are better with a sub for movies.Cons:Harsh treble (sometimes): out the box they're a little sibilant. I've only put on around 50 hours break-in and they've definitely relaxed. I had to play with the EQ a bit to calm them.Size (maybe): go in with the size commitment of floor standing speakers but the price of bookshelves. The more I listen to these the more I like them. If you can find them on sale go for it. You probably won't be disappointed.

Fantastic surround speakers
These work fantastic as rear surround speakers though they take a lot of power to really get the sound out of them. I have them biwired with 200w running to each one and they hold their own in movies to give a good balance of all the explosions and deep music mixed to the rear. They have no trouble playing at 75Db and since I have them set up in near field I have no need for louder but am confident I can push them to 85Db with ease. Currently at 75Db the woofer barely moves, and everything is crystal clear. Reverb is crisp and very spacial creating a great image in the rear surround. However I am not sure I would use these as stereo bookshelf speakers, though they sound great, personally I need more bass so an additional subwoofer would be needed.

Great Speakers (and they are really big...)
Very musical speakers, great room filling sound. Rich almost. And big. Very big. So big that I am not sure they should be described as bookshelf speakers. Not floor standers, but too big for most bookshelfs. If you can get them at their sale price of $129 to $199 a pair, an absolute no brainer. At $500 a pair, still a good deal.

this is a good speaker with not much else wrong with it
These speakers are the largest I have seen marketed as bookshelves speakers so beware of that. Make sure you know what you are getting into. For their size, the bass is lacking - these are marketed as 7" woofers but that is not translate to big bass. The high end is a bit shrill. So ideally you need an EQ to deal with these limitations/flaws.Otherwise, this is a good speaker with not much else wrong with it. For the $129/pair, this is more like a 4.25* speaker if I were to take that into account. With mine EQ'd, these sound pretty good. For the normal $500 retail price, however, this is a 3* speaker and there are better available at this price point. The Jamo logo at the bottom is pretty large and messes up the overall look of the speaker. Poor design decision there. Also, the grills are cheap af.A knock on the seller: acoustic sound design; speakers were listed as new but I got open box. The speakers were in mint condition, though.

Absolutely amazing bookshelf speakers
Absolutely amazing bookshelf speakers. I bought three pairs. I’m using one as a center channel and two for the rears. Powering them with crown amps... quite a bit of power actually... and they are beyond amazing!
