APEXEL 100Ultra Macro Lens - Enhanced Version Smartphone Lens for iPhone

✅ Brief Review: HB 100 Ultra Macro Lens (Apexel) Just tested the HB 100 Ultra and I’m genuinely impressed for the price. The lens feels well-built, the clip is sturdy and fits my iPhone 14 Plus perfectly. The optical quality is excellent for macro shots — it captures incredible details on insects, flowers, textures, and even tiny circuits with impressive sharpness. Photos have that nice “microscopic” look with smooth bokeh. Pros: • Good optics (noticeably better than most cheap clip-on lenses) • Easy to attach and remove • Comes with a clear manual and protective pouch • Compact and solid build Cons: • On some phones the clip may slightly cover the flash • Not as advanced as a dedicated mirrorless macro lens, but fantastic for a smartphone Final Score: 8.5/10 Highly recommended if you want great macro photography with your phone without spending a lot. I bought this to have a reliable, clear zoom lens and expand the one on my Samsung Galaxy Note 25 Ultra. This worked perfectly, as I was able to use the Zoom without having to remove my phone from its protective case. While the macro lens instructions are for the iPhone, they are also easy to use on an Android device. The photos are clear, allowing me to zoom in on mountains and small subjects like ants. I found it easy to carry in a coat pocket and attach when needed. It is a nice addition to my phone and camera equipment. It's a high-quality, compatible lens that's affordable, comes in a nice protective case for travel, and the clip allows for adjustable lens location over the correct lens on a camera.

This lens appears to be well built. It easily clipped on to my Google Pixel 8a. While I could get it to deliver a sharp image on my phone's screen I could not achieve anything more than about 3x macro magnification despite trying every tip to correct this that I could find on the Internet and Amazon. There were suggestions that the problem might be the Pixel's focusing system, but I couldn't get a better image even when I disabled autofocus so I gave up and returned it. Very disappointing.

This is my second Apexel macro lens—I also own (and still use) the APEXEL Professional Macro—and the APEXEL 100Ultra is a fantastic upgrade. The good: Game-changing focal distance: The working distance on this lens is incredible. It gives you much more breathing room from your subject, which is amazing for mobile macro photography. Great image quality: The lens works beautifully with my Pixel 7 Pro (once I disabled the native macro focus). The clarity and detail are great (I’ve attached some photos so you can see the results for yourself). Much improved clamp: A very welcome surprise is the new lens clamp. It is a massive improvement over my older lens clamp. With my previous lens, I had to replace the stock mount with a Neewer universal phone clamp (which I still use), but the clamp included with the 100Ultra holds up well. Things to consider: Weight and stability: This lens is quite heavy. It took some time for me to adjust to it. Because of the heft, doing handheld photography might be a challenge if you don't have a naturally steady pulse. You definitely have to practice your stability. The one downside: Build material / durability: The frame of the lens is somewhat prone to deforming if dropped. Mine suffered two accidental falls, and unfortunately, the rim bent just enough that I can no longer screw on my polarizer filter. The optics survived perfectly, but the housing material could be a bit more rugged to withstand minor drops. If you want beautiful macro results from your phone and need that extra focal distance, this is absolutely worth it. Just be careful not to drop it! Highly recommended. but handle with care!

Not good to use with Pixel 10. I previously used an Olloclip with my iPhone and it was great. This is awkward fitting, I'm not even sure it fits properly. It was hard to get my phone focus and it kept going back out of focus. It is now boxed back up and being returned. Very disappointed.

It's probably me but it will not stay on my phone. The very first time I took a picture, it did and I thought it was fantastic. But the last two, nope. It keeps falling off and I am following instructions.Gonna try again as I love the lens.

Wow…this lens is cool. It takes some amazing up close pictures. Metal lens and frame. Super sturdy. Easy to attach to your phone. We bought another macro phone lens and it didn’t compare to this one. Super happy with the purchase. Taking pictures daily in my garden of flowers and insects. Watch my video review for more details and up close looks.

As long as it can fit to your camera, as in spacing around the phone its self. It works if you do your part. The picture I posted, sorry for any arachnophobes, shows a young American house spider. She is about the size of a large grain of rice, you can see the texture, and or fibers of her paper towel too. This is a lower res cropped version and it still looks good. On a phone that struggles to get decent pictures. On my partners Iphone, even if I dislike them the camera is even better, and was able to get a good photo of a hatchling widow. Its worth the money if you don't want to shell out for a camera, and don't need the best. Time will tell with durability, but as of yet it feels pretty well built.

Its amazing when it has focus But It’s loosing focus after ever few minutes for my phone I did trouble shooting but no luck So I’m returning it May be it’s not compatible with iPhone 15 pro max
