Where Is Baby's Christmas Present?: A Lift-the-Flap Book (Karen Katz Lift-the-Flap Books) Board book – Lift the flap, October 6, 2009

Got this for my 18 month old around Christmas time because she loves all the Karen Katz books and her signature baby drawings. My daughter LOVED it! She really loves answering all the questions such as "Is it in the closet?" or "Is it in the gingerbread house?" and she loves playing "peek-a-boo" with the lift-a-flaps and seeing what's under each one. It's such an engaging book surrounding the Christmas theme and I like that all the Christmas objects are things we have in our house at that time, like candy canes, stockings, wrapping paper, cookie dough, and gingerbread houses, so it's relateable to her. The illustrations are very colorful also. I really liked that the front cover has the shiny, textured present and was thinking the other illustrations would have that element as well like some of her earlier books, but I was disappointed that the illustrations didn't have shiny/touch and feel elements.The only downside is that the flaps come off easily - they seem cheaply glued on and so they aren't durable. You'll likely have to tape them back on. But overall, this is a great book and we like it even when it's not Christmas time!

This one is no exception. He enjoys having his mommy read these Karen Katz books over & over to him. He knows when she skims over because she's in a hurry & doesn't lift the flaps. He'll hit the book, grunting like a little caveman & she knows it's time for a do-over. Where is Baby's Christmas Present is full of bright colors to keep his attention all the way through from beginning to the end. Will purchase more Karen Katz Where is Baby's books until we have the full collection. Wonderful & engaging for infants & toddlers. Highly recommend!

My daughter is 4, and these are her absolutely favorite books! We have all different kinds. She literally memorizes each page. We were missing this one so I figured the perfect time to get it would be right before Christmas. It was exactly what I expected. No damage. I can’t wait for her to open it so I can read it to her!

my then 10 month old, and now 13 month old LOVES this book. she loves peek-a-boo, and finding things behind other things. i was initially concerned whether the flaps would be strong enough to resist repetitive baby’s grips, tugging and pulling and they are! the only time they started tearing apart was when my baby started biting them off 😫 love this and got the other series as gifts!

My toddler (a fan of "Where Is Baby's Belly Button?") chose this as a holiday gift for her baby brother. I like the large, sturdy flaps and bright colors in this series, and it's a great length for a baby who's just learning to sit still and turn the pages. Some of the reveals are a little odd (like why are there stockings under Baby's pillow?), and as other reviewers have noted, the final reveal is just a picture of the present itself, which begs the question of what Baby actually received *inside* the box. This ended up working nicely for us, since we finished the book each time talking about what we thought might be in the present. My toddler had some amusing ideas, but she most often said, "Christmas books!"

Love this series of books, seriously what kid doesn't love the flaps?! We have a couple in this series and purchased the Christmas book for all the new babies in our family this year. The parents really enjoyed them and the kids loved it because it's interactive while being cute. I would recommend to others and amazon always has the best price on books, local stores are always higher and often out of stock.

Such a well made book for a baby and or a toddler. I have used it for both. It has little flaps that one has to help obviously a baby flip, but that is ok. The illustrations are adorable, bright, and very colorful!

My kids, 2.5 and 5 adore this book, as well as the Halloween version (Where's Baby's Pumpkin). It's a quick book, which is great for nights we're in a bit of a rush. It has flaps on every page which is always fun, and my kids think the baby is "sweet." Good addition to our Christmas collection!
