I bought this camera as I was looking for an upgrade to an existing reversing camera setup. Out of the box the camera is really quick and clean to set up; it pairs instantly and the video quality is extremely good, crisp and clear. My previous camera was somewhat pixelated but this is not at all. Be aware that the actual camera module is relatively large so depending on the design of the rear of your vehicle it may or may not "blend in" well, but the magnet is very strong and I have no worries about it coming off accidentally. The control at the drivers' end is very easy: there is a button to press on the cigar lighter adaptor which activates the screen (or you can press a button on the screen itself) for a set period of time. If I was to criticize anything it would be that it would be good for the drivers' end to be powered by USB instead of a 12v outlet: this way it would be easy to hard wire in with one of the many available dashcam hardwire kits - and the ability to have a remote trigger button (for example, to mount in a dash blank or on the steering wheel) would also be brilliant. But these are by no means deal breakers. All in all a very good choice for a reversing camera, particularly if your vehicle does not suit a wired camera for whatever reason.

This was super easy to fit to our campervan - just plug in the camera and attach the camera directly to one of the rear doors of the van (after attaching the small antenna to the screen and the larger one to the camera). No need to meddle with the van electrics or reverse light. The magnet is really strong so the camera stayed in place despite some quite bumpy roads. A metal plate is provided in the kit in case you need it. The quality is really good. The camera mount has a very sticky coating, so I had no problem attaching it to a textured dashboard. The 12v charging socket has a USB-A socket integrated into it. The carry bag is a really neat addition and helps protect the camera when not in use (it makes sense to remove the camera from the van when not in use to prevent theft). The screen has a 120s/240s/always on setting so you can decide how long to keep the screen on. I changed it to the the permanent setting for a continuous rear view, and the battery still seemed to still be fully charged after 30mins of driving and there were no camera glitches in this time. When I put the camera away after my drive, I forgot to turn it off - but to my pleasant surprise the camera was still showing full charge when set it up the next day. Great little unit if you want a really easy install and don't feel comfortable with vehicle electrics. A usb cable is provided so you can keep the camera battery topped up when not used for a while.

Came professionally packed in high quality carrying case. Instructions and in good English, no guessing involved. Also, simple and concise. Fitted on the back of my motorhome in around 20 minutes. Took a while as it is GRP shell so drilled, screwed and siliconed in place. Positioned high quality monitor on dash, turned on and it connected withing around five seconds. Menu buttons easy to follow. All personal settings done within around five minutes. Picture quality excellent. No drop outs at all and the 1080p is crystal clear. The 35 degree adjustment is handy to fine tune the angle. Night vision is also very good Record facility is continuous on a loop and is easy to playback any recording as the date/time stamp is on each one. Overall, I am very impressed with the quality and performance. I would certainly give it top stars for value for money. Age old saying...You get what you pay for.

I had previously purchased the AUTO-VOX SOLAR1 Rear View Camera that attaches to the number plate for my van which worked brilliantly and still is working brilliantly. I saw this new camera and noticed that it could be attached to my van magnetically which to me was a huge plus as I could use it as a reversing camera but also whilst parked up camping I could use it on the sides and the front of the van as a security camera to keep an eye on what was going on around me at evening and nighttime once it had gone dark as it has Night Vision. This was particularly useful to me as my van was attacked during a previous wild camp by two men, and this camera gives me the ability to see what is going on outside the van whilst I'm in it and to also record the footage too. The camera was easy to setup after receiving it. I put it on charge with the supplied charging cable, and it took around 5 hours to complete the first charge. Once it is charged there is a solar panel on the camera that keeps it topped up with charge. I then just popped the magnetic camera on the back of the van under the number plate, held the power button in for 5 seconds so that the blue LED was flashing, then plugged the display unit into a 12V power supply, selected Pair on the display menu, and it paired with the camera displaying a high definition view from the rear of the van. Really happy with the quality of the camera and the ability to be able to record footage from the camera. The camera also has an infrared lamp on it which I tested once it had gone dark and was very impressed with as it means I can now see anyone snooping around the van at night when it's dark and I have the blinds and curtains closed in the van. I like the fact that you don't have to do any drilling and running of cables throughout the van with this camera, and that I can remove the camera from the van and store everything in the carry case that came with it. Regarding the warranty, the User Manual says that you do get 12 months warranty from the date of purchase, but that if you contact a service representative at AUTO-VOX that they will give you a further 6 months warranty at no charge. So, 18 months warranty is amazing, and having used AUTO-VOX's customer service a couple of times when I accidently left the cap off the charging port of my SOLAR1 and also broke the 12V charge, I can say that they were top notch and sorted my issues in no time in a friendly and professional manner. If you are looking for a high quality wireless reversing camera then I highly recommend AUTO-VOX and their products. You will not be disappointed.

I was honestly a bit skeptical at first, but this backup camera blew me away. Installation was exactly as advertised—took me barely a minute to get it on my truck. No wires, no drilling, no stress. Just stuck it on, turned it on, and it worked right away. The base is really strong, and it hasn’t moved at all even after a few long drives. The 1080P monitor is super clear, even at night. I was surprised how far the signal reaches—I’ve used it on my truck and the video feed stayed stable the whole time. The solar charging is a great touch since I don’t have to worry about running out of battery. It comes with a storage bag too, which is perfect for when I want to switch vehicles or store it safely. Overall, this is easily one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while. It made backing up so much easier and safer. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a reliable, portable backup camera!!!!

Very easy to setup and run, great image with no lag. The only downside I have found is the obvious risk of leaving the camera unattended on the vehicle, its quite big and can be easily seen which means it could very easily be stolen.

Autonomie complète de la caméra grâce à l’alimentation solaire : pas de souci de recharge. Image de qualité sur l’écran 5" (1080P), même à bonne distance. La portée sans fil est excellente, stable même au-delà de 20 mètres. Seul point à noter : l’écran doit être alimenté par prise allume-cigare / USB, donc pas totalement autonome, mais rien de bloquant. Très satisfait, je recommande sans hésiter pour une solution mobile, pratique et fiable.
