this is super easy to clean. I use it to make dog food out of leftovers.

We used this little grinder to grind pork and venison to make pan sausage and deer burgers. It actually worked pretty well as long as we kept the meat really cold (which is recommended by everyone grinding meat). However whenever we cleaned the components, we decided to wash them by hand, but to also clean them in the dishwasher. Huge mistake. All of the chrome plating on the bin, grinder and blades came off and is still coming off. These components are completely ruined and a black residue continues to come off the metal regardless of what you do to clean it off. It doesn't say it is dishwasher safe, however I wouldn't recommend purchasing a unit that isn't for sanitary purposes. I guess you could soak it in bleach water to disinfect, but it doesn't recommend harsh cleaning so bleach might cause the same problems.Basically the little guy worked hard and well. The top load bin is too small and shallow to really handle much capacity, but it's an inexpensive unit. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this unit as clean up and sanitizing isn't possible and cleaning is critical to safety with ground meats.

This machine is extremely loud!! First, I found the instructions to be poorly written. Secondly, even after washing every piece of the equipment, it continuously left silver colored residue on my ground meat. The meat also had a metallic taste to it when I cooked a sample. I was very disappointed with this product and would not recommend!!

This meat grinder is for what the name implies...to grind meats.I would buy it again.
