I bought this because I was interested in owning a hand pan and I didn't want to spent insane amounts of money for one or one that's ginormous so I found this one, It was very reasonably priced and came very in tune but the highest pitch note kind of lost its tune after 2 weeks that being said , Do I recommend this for someone who also wants to try this instrument? 110% It's alot of fun and its added to my collection of instruments, iv even earned a couple bucks playing it on the street Overall a great purchase in my opinion! It has entertained me for hours and is somewhat portable with the bag they sent with the pan but now I think I'm ready for a better one I also like very much the sound of the notes I think its g minor? This item was packaged perfectly. All things were clean and orderly contained. The drum came with an amazing coating which I was puzzled about it first but when I rubbed it off with my cloth I understood the purpose. I bought a few drums in the past; none of them had been so well dressed. It really is a perfect beginner instrument. The notes are pretty close to being spot on. I would say only one sounds tinny. I will be very careful when I strike that one. My favorite part is that it's lighter than any of the other drums offered unless you want to pay more than $300+ another called the mini. I really wish some of these other handpan makers would go for a mini sized no more than 10 lb is excellent and ideal for someone older starting up their musical hobby once again. Kudos to this company for thinking of people who need lighter instruments and are starting over or beginners.!!! However: There was NO dust cloth included. I used my own.

I liked the look and the size, but the sound was pretty quiet. The higher the tone, the quieter the sound. I did not expect premium quality for the price, but the resonance was disappointing. I send it back.

This handpan drum has a beautiful design and produces a deep, calming sound that is perfect for relaxation, meditation, or creative music sessions. A great instrument for stress relief, mindfulness, or simply enjoying peaceful music at home.

The box it came in (that it was shipped from Amazon in; there was no outer Amazon box or paddling material) was noticeably damaged. And the interior styrofoam form was busted in two or three corners. But, despite this damage, this handpan still sounded good. I don’t know if it’s “in tune”, but for a total of only $217 (w/ FREE shipping), I’m not concerned. It’s a learning tool, little more. If it lasts 6 mo. and I can gain any proficiency at playing it in that time, it will have paid for itself, in my mind. I’ll upgrade to something better at that time. I have also created a Facebook page called "Chinese handpan owners", for those, like me, who wanted to dip our toe in the water of this fantastic instrument without forking out $875-$1,000+ for a higher quality one, at least until we got good at playing it and/or had the available funds to invest. So, even if you don't buy a Gladfresit, you're welcome to join.

Beautiful Handpan but one of the notes was very out of tune. The overall sound was OK but not great. I would say good for a kid, someone not serious about music, or someone wanting it for display only. You get what you pay for :( but for me, I am returning.
