Race Face Aeffect Bike Pedal

I recently upgraded to these lightweight aluminum peg blue bike pedals, and they have exceeded my expectations. The pedals are incredibly sturdy yet light, reducing the overall weight of my bike and enhancing my riding experience. The vibrant blue color adds a stylish touch to my bike, and the grip is excellent, providing a secure and stable footing even on rough terrain. Installation was straightforward, and the build quality feels premium and durable. Incredible set of flat pedals and an unbeatable price

First - there are a few reviews about the traction pins slicing up calves. The traction pins can be removed from some areas that one may be concerned about hitting their calf. Or the traction pins can be "lowered". Next - Installation was super easy to install and uses an Allen wrench vs. a "bike" wrench - first time I've seen this - but it's been awhile since I've had to do a pedal replacement. The look really nice on the Liv MTB I have. Finally - Riding - my shoes absolutely DO NOT SLIP in these - I can almost pull up if I point toes down in the up swing. I like it - it feels more secure than the standard plastic pedals - and while I am comfortable clipping in on a road bike, I don't want to do that with MTB (I'm not at that level!) Overall - solid pedals and highly recommend. If you're concerned about "bite" - adjust or remove the traction pins, just know the result is less traction.

Although I haven't yet installed these RACEFACE AEFFECT pedals (bike is on order), I am super impressed by the look and feel and overall quality. I immediately noticed the light weight which is comparable to most of the plastic/nylon pedals out there. The black pins finish the overall aesthetic very nicely. The Shimano GR500 aluminum pedals (heavier than the AEFFECT) I have on my other bike have the usual unfinished/silver pins which just doesn't look as nice on a black pedal. Awesome Amazon price ($65) for these.

I used a set of blue Affect pedals for 3 years with no issue. Then the bearing seal failed on the first day of a 4 day bikepacking trip. The pedal rattled, got dusty, and squealed, but never completely stopped working. I feel like I got very good use out of this pedal but they are expensive. I'd recommend this pedal to anyone who hates being clipped in. They're very sticky if you use the correct shoes. I've used 5 10's as well as Altra Graftons and both worked excellent.

I've only used them for a dozen rides so far. They're already a little scratched from a few pedal strikes, but so far it's only a minor cosmetic issue. I got these pedals because I'm still a relatively inexperience mountain biker and I was getting tired of worrying about getting out of the clipless pedals I had been using. First thing these new 'flat' pedals allowed me learn is that grippy shoes and pedal pins (or being clipped in for that matter) does not replace proper pedaling technique. Took me a few rides to figure out how to avoid pedal roll (where you lift your foot faster than the pedal rises and when you plant your foot back down, you instead turn the pedal 180 degrees with your heel). There are cheaper pedals and I'm sure they would've helped me just as well, but I got these because of the positive reviews from professional reviewers, and also because they're wider than my feet, and thin profile. I did have a pair of cheap plastic/composite pedals (with plastic pins) but my shoes were constantly slipping off them. I recently rode in the rain and was happy to discover that I had no problems keeping my feet on these pedals. In addition, I didn't have a problem with the mud as there was no place for it to cake onto.

These were my first flat pedals coming out of a pair of Shimano clip-less pedals on my mountain bike. Didn't know how the grip was going to be impacted, but hands down wish I had made the switch earlier. I put a second pair of these on my e-bike and another on a hybrid bike. All these do work much better is you also invest in some flat shoes...I use the 5's and work great. Ton's of grip and now that I am getting older, safer to disengage over lipless pedals. I could see the pins really ripping up your shin, calf or whatever if you some sort of freak accident, but just can't see slipping off these pedals. I do ware a size 12 Mens shoe and the only thing I am going to explore is a slightly wider Race Face pedal, but even without the added width I experience zero slippage on these Aeffect pedals.

I have this pedal on couple of my bikes, so far they all perform extremely well, light weight, easy to install, and provide great foot support and grip my shoe extremely well. No matter what kind of shoe that I wear, it just works. I don't really like clipless pedal and this pedal function almost like a clipless pedal. Definitely recommend this pedal to anyone who is looking for a good platform pedal.

They came 4 days late but I’m happy with them they look good and they were only $85cad +shipping compared to $200+ regular.

Top Pedale für erhöhte Ansprüche. Machen wirklich einen sehr hochwertigen Eindruck. Optik echt super. Die Farbe ist in echt natürlich nicht so stechend wie auf den Bildern (zum Glück). Es ist ein dezentes Rot siehe Bild. Ich habe sie jetzt etwas über ein Jahr in Einsatz und bin absolut zufrieden. Funktionieren noch wie am ersten Tag. Ist natürlich oberstes Preissegment, ich habe sie damals für 70€ im Angebot erhalten.

アトラスを使用していたので、比較してみたくなり、購入しました。 アトラスと比べると厚みがありますが、前後長が短く、個人的にはこちらの方が踏み易く感じました。 性能は間違いなくアトラスが上だと思いますが、(軽さとロードクリアランス) 好みが分かれる所ではあります。 あと、交換の際に6角レンチのサイズが変わるのは不満ですね。 これも軽量化の為かな？
