Very Cool
I can't believe every single one of these grew. I'm not great with plants, but omg these things are growing like crazy. Make sure you have somewhere to put them once they get a little bigger. I'm super impressed with these! If I can grow them, anyone can.

100% germination, 6 inches of growth in under 6 days!
These germinate really fast if you do it correctly. What I did was put them in a jar( mason cup) and filled it with warm water- the water has to stay between 95° and 104° F. I then set them on a seedling heat mat with temp control and under full spectrum grow lights. The lights are kept on for 12 or more hours a day and were about 5 inches above the cup. **If it's warm where you live, day and night, a sunny window sill will work just fine.**I changed the water every time it turned a brown/tan color, to prevent bacteria growth. The photo above was taken 5 days after putting the seeds into water! Every single one sprouted and most are 6 inches long, at least. These seeds are pre cut, which helps with germination.Once they have their first set of leaves, you can put them into a shallow bowl/dish or even pond or fish tank.I'm excited to watch them continue to grow and will be ordering more!

Lotus Seeds for Planting! They’re Sprouting!
Planting a lotus is something new for me, so I had to carefully read the directions, and after that I also looked up some sites that showed how to do it. It’s not quite how I expected a lotus to grow, but I put some of the seeds in a glass of warm water, and after a few days, they started sprouting. I’m going to need a much larger container (depth- and width-wise) than I thought. The lotus flowers should look beautiful once they bloom. From what I’ve read, the length of time it takes a lotus to bloom from seed takes about 1 to 2 years.I’m very pleased that these have already sprouted, and now they’re waiting to be planted in some aquatic plant soil for the next step.

Pre scarified for convenience
This packet of lotus seeds had 15 seeds in it. They come pre scarified for convenience, so they are ready to follow the directions and drop into some water. They are a good price point for what you get. The instructions are thorough and easy to understand. However, I feel it would be best for them to not come pre scarified, because that can allow the embryos inside the seeds to eventually dry out if they are not all used. Lotus seeds will last for well over a decade if they are not scarified. When you are ready to use one, use sand paper or a nail file and file away at the end that is not pointed until you just barely see some white of the seed embryo inside. Not pre scarifying gives you the chance to only start just a few seeds at a time. As long as they are plump, round seeds and stored well, they will store for a very long time. It's a good sign that 6 of the 7 of these that I started sank to the bottom of the container I'm soaking them in. One is floating, but it most likely just has a little air bubble trapped inside and since the seed is plump, it will probably germinate well.I'm renovating my koi pond this season in zone 6b, and I used to have a lotus growing in it years ago that died for some reason after many years of proper care, so I am looking forward to these growing. We will see how cold hardy they really are come winter.

Healthy seeds. Easy and fun to grow.
I watched a video on how to grow these before they arrived, and thought I would have to hit them with a hammer to open them up for water, but they came prepared with part of the shell cut or drilled off. I threw them in water to see if they were good seeds. Apparently, if the float they are dead/infertile. Of the 15 seeds sent, only 2 of mine were duds. The rest have sprouted, and I will be able to pot them soon. These were incredibly easy to grow. I think kids would love watching them. I know that my husband and I really enjoyed watching their progress.

Excellent Germination
My daughter is a budding horticulturalist and loves lotuses. She was able to start these seeds in lotus bowls. Every seed has germinated and within a matter of days as well! She changed out the water frequently and kept them in a sunny window and that was all it took. So far, so good. If we have any further issues with these plants as they grow, I will come back here and update this review. So far though, we’re very happy with the results and would buy again. Good value for price.

✅ ALL BUT 4 SPROUT + FAST, BUT BEST FOR COOL WATER PONDS.
Having aquariums all over my house, I cluding a large tank on my back porch that I have dubbed, the pond tank that has live plants, a soil bottom and goldfish, I have always wanted to try planting some kind of water lily or lotus. I figured this would be the perfect opportunity. But these obviously require certain conditions that a fish tank just cannot accommodate.Definitely do more research before trying to grow these to full maturity. All except for 4 of the bulbs managed to get sprouted and this happened within the first 48 hours of soaking in 78° degree water temps. After they began sprouting, I used a floating planter inside on of my tanks that is filled with soil and topped with fluval stratum. I planted the bulbs that were sprouting with the green stalks sticking out of the substrate to get light. The stalks continued to grow towards the surface. HOWEVER, as several got to a pretty long length, I noticed that some of the stalks would end up turning black mid-stalk, and would eventually become soft, and break off completely. So as of currently I only have three bulbs that still have long. thick stalks, and are reaching for the surface of the water, towards light.Perhaps, true pond conditions would work better and have more success, as these likely require certain water temperatures and certain water qualities to grow to maturity. If I manage to get these to grow any further along, I will come back and update my review and pictures, but as of right now, I've only managed to get about 15" inch, long, thin, green, stalks to sprout from about three bulbs, successfully. I hope these few are able to continue to grow healthily.⚠️ 📌 OVERALL RATING: ⭐⭐⭐ THREE STARS ———————————————————♡
