For car key chain configuration: Attach one small split ring to each end of magnet, then attach one end to your ignition key, and the other end to your large key ring that holds the rest of your keys. That's it! Large rings are only for if you wear the magnet on a belt loop. Otherwise, toss them in your junk drawer. Handy for checking gold and silver jewelry too! The uses and ideas are literally limitless! Please note: Due to their strength they have the potential to damage credit cards or other items with a magnetic strip if they are kept too close, but cell phones, electronics, and car keys with embedded micro chips are fine. However, they will not work on some models of newer vehicles. If your door lock/unlock sensor is built into the key, you won't be able to leave the key in the ignition and lock the car from the outside. Most keys do not stick to magnets.
