Liked the roll on applicator. It was helpful with my pain.
I actually bought this by mistake. I did not intend to get the nighttime version. I used it it the day, and no one arrested me! lol. I did like the roll on applicator. The scent was a bit more perfumey than I expected. I guess I was expecting the typical menthol, medicine scent. But it is fine. It is not s strong scent actually. It dried in a few minutes. I did sort of help it dry by rubbing it in a bit before getting dressed. It washed off my hands easily. So just because they call it nighttime recovery, it works in the day, also. I didn't really notice it feeling hot or cold once it dried.

Good product
The roll on makes application easy and non messy, plus other reviews complained about the smell but I didn't notice any overpowering smell.

As Advertised
Okay, after reading all the reviews here, I wasnโt sure if I even wanted to try this. It was on sale, so I decided to give it a shot. I put it on about 10 minutes ago, and hereโs my honest take so far: it is nowhere near as bad as the 1-star reviews make it out to be.Smell: Yes, it smells like lavenderโbut itโs not overpowering and doesnโt make everything you touch reek. Now, if youโre a guy heading out to a bar, you probably donโt want to smell like lavender any more than you want to smell like Ben-Gay, so donโt use it then. Itโs called โnighttime recoveryโ for a reason. This is medicine, not cologne. That said, the scent isnโt strong, and women would probably find it more pleasant. Some people are just more sensitive to smells, so take those reviews with a grain of salt. For example, I like certain scented wax melts, but my wife says they give her a headacheโeveryoneโs different.Stickiness: Is it sticky? No, not reallyโat least no more than any other topical product for back pain. It doesnโt feel wet, and my clothes arenโt sticking to it. Going back to the smell: after it โdried,โ I ran my finger over the area and could still smell it on my finger, but the menthol-type scent was more noticeable than the lavender. The lavender is still there, but itโs much less obvious nowโeither it faded or I just got used to it.Application and Effectiveness: The roll-on made it easy to apply to my lower back. Some reviews say itโs neither โicyโ nor โhot,โ but I started feeling a cooling sensation after about five minutes and still feel it as I write this. Thereโs no heat, but the cooling effect is definitely present. My pain feels slightly numbed as a result, although I wasnโt having a major flare-up to begin with. Iโd say it helps take the edge off, but itโs not a cure. Conclusion: I think itโs worth trying. Itโs not the miracle product some 5-star reviews claim, but itโs also nowhere near as bad as the 1-star reviews suggestโunless they received a defective product. If it works for you, buy it again. If it doesnโt, youโre only out a few bucks. Complaints about the smell, stickiness, and similar issues seem pretty overblown to me.

Good for lower back pain
This stuff is really strong. The menthol comes in at 16% which is no joke. I only use this for my intense lower back pain because thatโs the only part of my body that can handle the 16% menthol. I tried to put this on my neck one time and that was a huge mistake. It burned so bad I thought I had died and gone below. This stuff is great for areas where your skin can handle it but beware of using it on more delicate areas. However for intense lower back pain I highly recommend it.

Idk about it being Orange scented, but it smells good to me
I initially bought the Lavender, and wasn't happy with it. It was too perfumey for me. So I got the Orange one, and I'm very happy with it. It's a pleasant smell, to me at least. I don't know about it being an Orange scent, but it reminds me of a liquid fabric softener scent. I don't mind at all, and I'm hyper sensitive.I will say with these roll ons, there is only 8% menthol. So it doesnt give off that intense hot type of relief (like the 18% original) It is mild in comparison. So I would say its for minor aches and pains.

Easy-to-Use and Fast-Acting Pain Relief!
I like how easy and convenient this Icy Hot roll-on is to use. The roll-on applicator makes application much less messy than creams or gels, and the strong menthol provides a noticeable cooling and warming sensation. It works well for occasional muscle aches, back discomfort, and sore joints after physical activity. The 2.5 oz size is also convenient to keep at home or take while traveling. Overall, itโs a practical option for targeted pain relief without getting the product all over your hands!!

Great roll on!
This worked really well and rolled on easily. What I liked most is it does not have a strong smell. And was not messy and dried quickly. It did not stain or get on my clothes or bedding after I applied. I like that the sensation you can definitely feel but it is not too strong. I appreciate that it takes the pain away temporarily as it acts as a distraction. I can sleep fine with this and Iโve been using it for my shoulder I would definitely repurchase!
