Comfortable
Seems to help my drop foot. After a day of wearing , I needed to put a small strip of moleskin on my Achilles tendon where the brace slightly rubs when walking. Seems to be working quite well and a lot cheaper than a custom-made ankle brace.

Bad brace
This brace wasn't good both of the velcro straps came off.Every time I put this brace on I have to put the straps back, it is a pain. I didn't know if I should return it because I had put it on the person, bad choice

Pretty good, needs padding
I would’ve given this a five stars if it had came with some foam padding at the very top of the brace. Since I have a very sensitive and numbing sensation on my calves, this brace dug into my skin and caused a wound. The brace did the trick, but if it had a little more padding or if I would add some padding before wearing them again, it’s a good brace.

A corrective brace that works for a good price
I have Charcot Marie Tooth (CMT) Disease, which causes a lot of imbalance, high arch, pain, drop foot, and more. I took a chance on these braces (both left and right) as an affordable option to the ones you’d get through an actual doctor (which are custom fit and extraordinary, I myself just haven’t gone yet). Prior these braces I clomped quite a bit and my feet would tire out so fast that I’d have to sit and let my feet relax for a few minutes till I got back to walking. They’d be so weak I couldn’t lift my feet to walk. After the braces, I can still feel my feet being tired (there’s no escaping that), but I can keep walking without worry of my foot dropping and messing up my walk. (Granted my walk is still messed up, but that’s from my condition.) When I push my foot forward and release, the brace immediately brings my foot back into place. I even try to drop my foot behind me as I walk o purposely trip myself, and the brace prevents it. It’s actually pretty remarkable. They fit in my lightweight boots perfectly without trimming (size US Men 10.5), but I did take out all inserts (the initial insert I had already removed and replaced with a dr scholls insert). I do have corrective plastic heel molds, to which I slid into the boot on top of these braces and they fit just fine. I keep both the brace and heel insert in full time, and just take my foot with sock on out. I can’t really say just yet how the front half of my foot is going to feel walking on plastic all day after awhile, but so far it’s just slight discomfort toward the end of the day (like any shoe really). The portion that goes up your thigh, I would recommend high crew socks or just under the knee socks. The top edge of the plastic does rub, but that’s expected. There is no padding, which honestly I don’t think it needs it if you’re wearing socks. Virtually unnoticeable in pants, incredible. The Velcro (generic hook and loop) is okay, there’s extra so be sure to trim it up. They’re held on with some glue, the one already came off. But honestly that’s fine: I intended on replacing them with black straps anyway. I wasn’t sure if the bottom strap was really necessary, but I’ve come to like it. The top strap is a must. All in all, I’d give these a 4.9/5; with that .1 being the very very inconvenient strap issues. The fit, they WORK (the main point), relatively comfortable and unnoticeable, and are a bargain. Even if they loosen up / wear out / break, I’m willing to buy them again because they’re a deal. Miscellaneous context: 6’ 0” male, average build, 185 lbs, 10.5 US men’s shoe, physical activity and exercise level 6 to 7 out of 10, CMT Disease. Real review, not a bot or paid. Hopefully this helps others out.

Here are the actual measurements of this product...men's and women's brace.
I found the description on the page lacking in honesty. They stated the woman's is 4" in width...no way. Total width at ball of foot is 2-7/8" on women;s, 3-3/4" on men's. The length for men's is 10-3/4", women's length is 9-1/2", the woman's width at ankle is 2-3/8" at ankle and on men's it's 3" wide. The women's is 10-1/4" tall with one strap to secure at calf. The woman's calf would need to be quite slim to fit into this device. The men's is 11" tall, with two straps to secure to calf and ankle. Neither of the offered devices would be usable for me. Even cutting the men's shorter it still would not fit into my shoes. There is no stated shoe sizes on the website for the men's or women's, but paperwork inside the package says that men's sizes 7-8-9-10-11+, and woman's 5-6-7-8+... Hope this helps someone find the right size.

Works well as an AFO.
Thank you soo much. OK, so I'm a retired surgeon. I'm 75 and developed a right foot drop from Anterior Tibialis Tendonitis compartment syndrome 11/24. I have loss use of my right peroneal nerve. I have been struggling with walking due to the foot drop after about 1-2 blocks. I received this AFO today and walked over a mile with complete comfort and stability. I enjoy walking again. OK. So adjust this AFO as needed. If you're getting this, you have some mechanical skills. Put your foot fully in the AFO and mark the end of your toes. Use scissors to trim the end. File the end to make a taper. Place the AFO in your shoe, then place your foot in the AFO and attach. It works fine. Thanks.

CAREFUL...POTENTIAL INJURY
For two days this brace did a good job on my drop foot. However on the third day when I unraveled the velcro strap. a 2" X 2" piece of flesh came off my leg with it. I bleed all over the carpet and finally wrapped the wound with gauze and hoped for the best. I am in the 3 rd week since the injury and still await the raw flesh to heal. I've applied antibiotic cream and have been wrapping it in hopes that it will not became infected. It still stings like hell, but does appear to be slowly healing. My leg swelling has gone down a bit also. So sorry everyone to have to prepare this review. The product is well made and stable and for the first day or two was great, but please Mr. AFO, design some other type of fabric strap so your other customers don't possibly go through what I have gone through. I suppose when my leg completely heals, I'll try the brace again and be sure that the velcro doesn't touch the skin, and cover the leg with a fabric first before installing it.

That this is an excellent product, that I have had and used for several years.
The product is excellent, however, I needed one right foot and one left foot stabilizer. I received two right foot stabilizers. I have now reordered one right foot and one left foot stabilizer after returning the two right foot stabilizers, that I received.

Pros: Lightweight Trimmable to various sizes Good support around calf and ankle Cons: Velcro should extend further for better fitment Velcro had to be trimmed to avoid coming loose Ankle and calf support points should have foam supports.

did the temporary job as muscle healed for a decent price

Straps slopy fit as you can see in photo . The hook portion should be also on the entire strap so the loop can attatch and secure the extra length of straping. Poor design or just cheap cost cutting design
