Tastes horrible.
First of all, I was surprised there are no cherries in this “cherry pie filling.“ It’s about the consistency of cranberry sauce, but stirred up. The worst part is the taste. If you’re one of those people who loves cherry flavored medicine, this is the pie filling for you. It’s like having a huge mouthful of cough syrup, but in gelatinous form. A total waste of money.

Different
More of a cherry pureed very few large chunks, but it does have a good flavor. For the current price of cherry it does the job as a filling.

Simply the best
It’s trusted by pastry chefs for a reason. Unlike pie filling or jam, this stuff stays where you put it, so no leaks and burnt mess on your baking sheet. My grandmother used this brand (she preferred the poppy seed, though) for decades in all kinds of baking. My mother learned about it from her. Unfortunately, she is not a good baker but this filling almost makes up for it. I’m now using it and my daughter has, too, so FOUR generations of my family have relied on these fillings. If that doesn’t convince you to buy it, I’m not sure what will.
