I bought this as I just started trying yerba mate, and learnt this was good for beginners. And yes, it's definitely helped me get through uni classes. And the packaging was lovely, it came with a chocolate.

Il Cruz de Malta è il miglior yerba mate. Polvere di yerba contenuta al minimo, "elaborado con palo", senza inopportuni aromi estranei aggiunti. Ne consumo quotidianamente e considero conveniente acquistarlo qui, su Amazon tedesco, visto che comprese le modeste spese di spedizione se ordino 5-10 pacchi risparmio molto rispetto all'acquisto equivalente in Italia, dove abito. Consiglio non tanto una buona matera (che, se nuova, deve essere trattata: ci sono diverse guide in internet ma l'essenziale è riempirla di yerba mate e acqua e lasciarla così per tre giorni; inoltre per il Cruz de Malta deve essere piccola, non grande come la calabaza usata in Brasile) quanto una buona bombilla, il cui filtro consenta un buon tiraggio senza portare alla bocca pezzi di yerba. La polvere presente nel pacco, che sporca l'interno della bombilla, volendo può essere filtrata e usata in bustine da tè vuote che si trovano facilmente in commercio per fare un ottimo "mate del missionario", tisana eseguita con le stesse modalità del tè. Ho usato decine di tipi di yerba mate differenti in questi anni ma il Cruz de Malta resta sempre il migliore, più equilibrato e senza sorprese.

I’ve tried a few different yerba mate brands and this one’s definitely one of the easiest to get into. Cruz de Malta is super smooth compared to a lot of others—no harsh bitterness, just a nice earthy, slightly woody taste with a bit of natural sweetness. It’s not super strong, which I actually like. Makes it easy to sip on all day without getting overwhelmed. If you’re new to mate, this is a really good place to start. The cut is good too—more leafy with stems and not a ton of dust, so it doesn’t clog up the bombilla all the time. Pretty forgiving even if you’re not making it perfectly. Energy-wise, it gives a nice steady boost. I feel focused but not jittery like with coffee. Only small downside is the flavor fades a bit quicker after a few refills compared to stronger brands, but honestly not a dealbreaker. Overall, really solid everyday mate. I’ll definitely keep buying it.

I've tried a bunch of different brands. This one sits at the top of the list of ones I've tried. Its got a light leafy sweetness to it and it's not too powdery so it works perfect with the filtered straw unlike some other brands. The fact that it's not smoked means it's much healthier to drink too. I drink this daily for work and it's my go to! Definitely recommend for others!

First time trying Cruz de Malta and I'm honestly impressed. I’ve tried a few different brands in my gourd, but this one is the winner so far because of the smoothness. It’s not intimidatingly strong or bitter, which makes the whole experience way more relaxing. It’s become my go-to daily drinker. Highly recommend if you want a solid, high-quality yerba without the harsh kick. What’s more, it has larger leaves and less dust therefore it doesn't clog the bombilla as easily as other brands.
