Nailed it on the first try!
Gave this FlexiTough filament a go on my Ender 3 V3 SE, and it worked like a charm! Took some time to read the user guide, and it totally paid offโgot a perfect print on my first attempt. Used a 0.4mm nozzle, and the results were spot on. Bounces great too! Honestly, feels just like a regular basketball, just a tad heavier. Super impressed! Would definitely recommend.

Really Bad Bed Adhesion.... BUT DAT BOUNCE!
I have gone through just under half of the kg already and have had failure after failure. I've done everything exactly as it's written, but there were a couple things missing. First, turn off any auxiliary fans. This helped at least keep my print from flying off. This should have been noted. Next, none of your files include a good enough skirt. This is absolutely required and, if you have strong magnets to keep the skirt down, you should do that. The first pictures of the last print show it delaminated from the bed. The fact that it didn't fail completely is pure chance. The other photos are failed prints that were always delaminated - I wasted so much filament trying to solve it. I should note, I have cleaned my bed multiple times, not touched it beforehand, and dried out the filament as soon as I got it. But after around 80+ hours of printing (I slowed everything WAY down) I got an imperfect ball. A corner had delaminated and shifted a few rows - but it was still able to complete, mainly due to my turning off all auxillary fans. I have tried PEBA-S and TPC 91A both of which are said to work but it's more like 80% of a regular basketball bounce and is super difficult to dribble with at regular height. This, however, is around 90-95% of a regular basketball bounce. At first I tried in my apartment and it didn't work too well there. But once I took it outside, it dribbled the BEST out of any other filament. This is a SERIOUSLY HARD filament to print, and you definitely need to tweak their files. But, I reckon this creates the best basketballs you can print.

Easy print, incredible results, difficult support removal
This is a project I have wanted to do for a long time now and Iโm so glad I did. It was super easy to print, it prints like PLA. Bed adhesion is really good, possibly too good. I was able to print a full size basketball (double lattice) and a tennis ball (single lattice) with a little bit of filament to spare. The layers look great. Yes it does actually bounce and is certainly playable. The bounce isnโt exactly as good as a standard basketball, but itโs honestly pretty good and very impressive. Took 216 hours to print, probably could have gone faster and certainly could have done less supports (they are extremely difficult to remove due to the strength). No print failures. Highly recommended this for anyone looking to print a basketball!

If you want to print a 3D basketball, this is the stuff. I also did a football too. And still probably have enough left over for a tennis ball
