I use my road bike pretty close to home for exercise purposes. Generally do around about an hour per session over some pretty hilly territory holding my avg. speed down. Simple things go out of kilter once in a while needing a couple simple tools to fix the issue. The kit seems to have all I need for these repairs or adjustments. No, it is not meant for garage work on the bike. A bunch of loose tools in a box works better in that environment. But, having this kit with you on a moderate run could save you from a real pain getting the bike home or at least a miserable ride. It is also just plain good to know I have it if needed. Weight? Bulkiness? Stuffed into a back pocket the thing doesn't bother me at all. Probably would be better in a bike mounted bag. All in all it works for me.
