REVLON Perfect Heat Triple Ceramic 3/4" Curling Iron

A perfect curling iron for only $15, it heats up really fast, it has so many heat settings that I love, it has a red light that blinks as it is heating up and it stops blinking when ready. It has a small stand to hold the iron up, it has a good sized end to hold while curling so you won't get burned. It shuts off on it's own if you forget to. Very well made and high quality. I love the ceramic barrel and it has a swivel cord so you don't get tangled up. I would expect such a great iron to cost double what I paid. It worked on my hair with ease and on the middle setting, if you turn it on the highest temperature it gets extremely hot. I have wave slightly thin hair and the middle setting was perfect and it works fast. Love it! Don't hesitate just buy it and don't waste money on an iron that can be double or even triple the cost!

My wife loves this curling iron for her hair type. She said that it seems to curl as well as, or better than any other curling iron she has owned. It seems to be quite durable, and she thinks it is a joy to use. Her hair is relatively short, and this helps speed along her mornings by controlling any frizzy moments. The "triple heat" is generally used on rare occasions.

Perfect Perfect Perfect!!! I have only had for a week - but it's Perfect!!! My old one from the 2000's finally gave out and I needed a replacement. You would think it's easy to get another - but this was my 3rd purchase. Others had no off or safety off, sizing of barrel was too large, too small, or they didn't work "right". 3rd try is the charm, this one heats up quick, holds the temp, it's the right barrel size for soft ringletts for my hair, and if I forget it will turn it's self off. I couldn't be happier.

The plastic part that you put your thumb on bends! I always have to bend it back up so that I can open up the barrel to get my hair in and out. I needed a smaller barrel size after I cut my hair and I saw this and thought it was perfect, and it was, until one day the metal or plastic piece bent and ever since it’s been a huge pain in the butt. The heat is alright, although I dislike the temperature control nob. It’s not very practical for keeping it on your desired level because of how easy it is to move. I love the tighter curls, I just wish it were better quality. Oh well, you definitely get what you pay for on this one.

Before purchasing, I spent a lot of time trying to determine if this curling iron would work with just an adapter plug overseas. It states it is a universal curling iron. It absolutely is universal. It works as normal in the United States and with an adapter plug overseas. I have always used metal barrel irons and this was my first ceramic type. There was no difference from metal to ceramic. The nice feature is there are 30 heat settings. It took a few tries to determine which setting worked best. 23 was mine. Some reivews complained that the heat adjuster was in a bad place and they kept turning the heat up or down with their hand during styling. I personally did not find this an issue at all. Oh, and this iron heats up in 30 seconds, really! It also came with a silicone sleeve which came in handy when you did not have time to cool the iron down before packing. This was a great value too! The key to electical items when traveling overseas is to check the input. If it says input 110-220 or 110-240 it will work overseas with just a universal adapter plug for what country you are traveling to. The main thing is the input on the electrical item has to go up to 220V or 240V in order to work with just the adapter plug. When these requirements are met, you don't need a power converter. My Revlon .75 inch metal barrel curling iron input is only 120V 60Hz so I had the choice of buying a power converter or just ordering an inexpensive curling iron. I chose purchasing the curling iron. Power converters come in all types so you have to pay attention to the wattage of the item you want to convert power. Curling irons are usually around 15 watts where as a blow dryer may be 1500 watts (two different type of power converters needed). Power converters are more expensive so just buy the universal curling iron and a universal adapter plug.

First time to purchase a curling iron by Revlon and will be the last The large bulb shaped barrel is clumsy and difficult to manage; I had to apply a mesh bandaid for traction so hand wouldn't slip while curling hair The heat gauge is poorly designed. The "on" and "off" buttons are too big and accessible so are too easily turned on or off accidently. The heat setting gauge does not stay put, so curling iron may get quickly cooled or excessively hot by accidently moving the gauge while curling hair - rectiifed by putting a piece of adhesive tape over the gauge to immobilize it. The curling iron (a few weeks old) now looks like a casualty of an accident rather than a brand new iron. This curling iron was a poor choice for me and I query the company's approval of such a design.
