I previously purchased a couple of small lights like this, one for the hutch over my desk, one for the shelf in my closet where I don't have a light, and a spare to keep one charged. I put this light on the wall of my closet so that the light shines across the clothes on the shelves and hangers. The closet is 8 feet away from my bed, but when I get up in the middle of the night, as soon as I sit up, the light comes on. Not only s it great for the closet, it works great as a night light.

Perfect for lighting on my wire storage rack.

Easy to install. Works great. Bought two of them and planning on another.

So this light is pretty awesome, the only thing that I take issue with is the motion detection is WAYtoo sensitive. Mounted under the cabunet this light will come on if any person or small snimal walks within about 6 feet of the light... That's too sensitive, Within about 2 feet is all you really need. This males this one activate quite a but for no reason. I managed to overcome this by taping over half the motion sensor so it only can see the counter top...All in all This is one of the better under cabinet lights but that motion sensor issue is annoying, even a small 10lb dog sets it off at 6 feet...If you want to place this on a ceiling it would work, If you can live with it being hyoer sensitive then it works as a cabinet light tooJust My Thoughts,AK
