Good brass and stainless steel parts. Bottom end inlet far superior to competition.
Old school high quality design. This is rare earth to find a good sprinkler head these days that will last seasons rather than one year. This unit will survive the deep well water sent from higher volumes of sulfur found in rural water.

Bought for low water pressure
We have low water pressure. I was hopeful...but no. These do not work even after replacing the nozzle with the smallest size. Very frustrating. The only ones that work are the old style rainbird with the smallest nozzle. These are different.I had hopes.Items arrived very quickly and were packed well.Item arrived quickly.

Real quality that works!
This is very, very nice! Beautifully sprinkles evenly even with our little test spray! It was easily put on my old sturdy base and though it was stiff before I hooked it up and turned it on, it was perfect once the water was turned on! The brass is very good quality and will last us many years! No plastic at all!!! Not one tiny piece! I would highly recommend this product.

Only Impact Sprinkler Tough Enough for Source Water from Ponds, Creeks, and Lakes
UPDATE JUNE 2019 - I've had two of these sprinkler head for over three years and they are still going strong. That is at least three times longer than any other brand sprinkler I have tried. For folks with low water pressure, or using surface water irrigation pumps, these are the only choice. Of course, they work great for everyday residential applications with city water, too.ORIGINAL REVIEW - JULY 2016I irrigate my lawn using surface water pumped out of a shallow lake behind my home. The additional solids present (i.e. algae, sand, debris, grit), as well as the inconsistent pressures seem to play havoc with most of the impact sprinklers I have tried. The big box store brand sprinklers I tried wouldn't oscillate right out of the box, as they often hit the first stop and stopped, literally. I finally found the Orbit 56667N Tripod Base Impact Sprinkler on Amazon, which worked at the required pressures; but then it stopped oscillating after the first season. I ordered this Rainbird (with ½ inch male fitting) to replace the Orbit head on the tripod, and the difference is staggering. The Rainbird is by far the highest quality sprinkler head I have tried yet. I have used specialty Rainbird heads in industrial applications, so I knew they were a well-made product. Rainbird doesn’t make many sprinklers that aren’t for use in irrigation systems, which is why I didn’t go with Rainbird from the beginning. I am glad I found this replacement head, and I will be making another base connection, so that I can order an additional Rainbird head for use at my second spigot feed. See below for additional details of the Rainbird 25PJDAC.MATERIAL QUALITY – 5 STARSThe difference between the brass Rainbird and the Zinc Orbit was staggering. The Orbit brand sprinkler was made of junk Chinese potmetal, whereas, the Rainbird had high quality brass fittings with bronze and stainless steel. The Orbit model was based on a similar design, but taking the two apart revealed that the materials were not even close. Even the washers on the male fitting were far superior on the Rainbird model.COVERAGE AREA, SPRAY PATTERN, & OPERATING EFFICIENCY – 5 STARSThese will cover a large area. Best coverage are of any sprinkler head yet, which cuts down on time spent moving sprinklers around. This model sprays at least 10 feet further than the previously mentioned Orbit sprinkler. The stops also stay put better, but yet somehow are easier to adjust with a single hand, compared to the Orbit. Rainbird is also capable of true 360 degree operation, whereas, the Orbit model is not. Compared to other sprinkler styles, impact sprinklers have a much more efficient spray type, and their adjustability makes keeping the water where you want it much easier.NONPOTABLE WATER CAPABILITY – 5 STARSAs previously mentioned, this sprinkler head handles surface source water better than any model I found. If you irrigate from a pond, creek, lake, or other surface impoundment, then this is the sprinkler head you are looking for. It also handles low water pressure very well, so it would also be a good choice for those drawing source water from wells.VALUE – 5 STARSFantastic price for such a high quality sprinkler. I haven’t seen high quality materials like this one has in residential grade sprinklers in years, yet the price is cheaper than most plastic impact sprinklers you could find at your local lawn & garden or big box chain stores. You will need to purchase a base for the head, but even still, at this price you can’t go wrong.THANKSThanks for reading my review. I hope it was helpful.

Great sprinkler head!
I ordered a second one. This works well, is easy to adjust the rotation & spread of water AND easy to clean. I wish the bases available were stronger than just zinc, because they bend. But this is copper & will out last several spikes

TWO OUT OF FOUR WORKED???
They’re GREAT when they work properly, all modes of the cycles engaging and working properly. Three stars may even be a bit high, but I based it on the two that DID work. I returned the two that didn’t and had no problems returning them within the allotted return window. I held back, because I wanted to try everything I could…changing out the piping and couplers until finding one that allowed the unit to rotate, if it was going to. There’s a definite ingenuity in how they should be installed, and the manufacturer needs to pay a WHOLE lot more attention to details in the instructions. The breakdown of the parts identification suffers, as well. Also…DON’T tell me to start taking the nozzle apart (the manufacturer will do this to you when you call the help line) to make sure there’s no blockage inside! How about, MANUFACTURER QUALITY CONTROL BEFORE IT LEAVES THE FACTORY?! OH…and guess where they’re assembled. I bet you only have ONE OR TWO GUESSES, and you’ll be right. You bet, I’m a bit cynical about imports. Be aware of junk, and I believe RAINBIRD NEEDS TO BRING ITS BUSINESS BACK TO THE MAINLAND USA. Just my opinion, and if you’re offended, well…. The proof is in what quality USE to be vs what it is now.
