The small brick size has been easy to rehydrate (just over 3 qts of water worked just right for me) and mix with my other potting soil ingredients. It rehydrates quickly and breaks apart easily once it’s soaked up all the water.

I use it in my composting toilet. Bricks are hard to break apart but I saw one guy who puts the brick in a Ziploc bag and adds a cup of water. Then he smooshes the bag with his hands. Will try that. If you only need part of a brick, you store the excess in the Ziploc.

I put 3 ZeeDix on a bucket of water. That was not a good idea. Because it was my first time using ZeeDix I couldn’t imagine they would swell up and be more than my bucket could handle. I know now to use one brick at a time in my bucket.
