Awesome product , Simple snake n ladder game converted into a leasson on addition . Even making it more interesting for kids My kid just loves to play it n me too :)

The concept is good, but it has limited playability. I think it can be a good tool to get a 1st grader or 2nd grader to learn addition. For older kids who are quite comfortable with addition it can be quite boring. The instructions were also a little incomplete. For e.g. There is no mention of what to do with the logic slates although. The slates themselves were also difficult to use for my 6 year old. After a couple of turns, the pens would no longer write on the slate clearly despite being wiped throughly - perhaps due to the chemicals from the ink itself.

Very useful and interesting game for all.my daughter who is 12yrs old enjoys playing this game.the product was delivered on time in a good condition.

got it for rs149/. though it is a modern version of snake and ladders, it has been made very interstingly with a very innovative dice.even my 5 yr daughter enjoyed the game and she started doing addition!! for the first time. the quality of the product is goodd and well packed, the company also gave an update on latest in the game after the product was delivered

Not worth the buy

It is just a glorified snakes and ladders game that is being marketed as some 'IIT' brainchild. Putting 2 sketchpens, 3 laminated cards, and a fancy instruction manual doesn't make it worth Rs 549/-. It should be priced 200/- at best because of the fancy packaging (you get a snakes and ladders set in less than 100/- at your local shop). The idea is that your child would be able to calculate which square to move to by adding the number that the dice shows on rolling. That's it. Add lots of meaningless gimmick and then try to portray it as some genius innovation - you have a grossly overpriced product. Buy a normal snakes and ladders game and spend the extra money to buy your child some good books.

This game is just like snakes and ladders, except that it has a component of addition incorporated into it. The kids end up doing sum after sum at the same time, having fun. The game components are all of good quality. Suitable for kids from grade 1, who have started learning addition

I bought Ocean Raiders since it claimed that it provides 11 times more math practice than normal school homework. The two kids at home, one a 9-year-old and another a 7-year-old, these days are glued to the game so much that at times they use it as an excuse to avoid their actual homework. Initially when I sat to explain the game to kids I was stuck at many places as the game is not as it appears. At first I thought it would be like a snakes and ladder game involving math but although the game resembles the famous game it is quite different. The numbers are arranged randomly on the board and the last box is not necessarily the end point. The how to play video on youtube helped us to understand the game clearly and then it was hours of fun. It is a good game and the kids are certainly practicing more math. A good effort from Logic Roots. I will definitely look for their other products too as they claim that they can help children improve their math.

I bought this game for my 5 year old twins, since they love board games. This has turned into one of my favorite games to play with them. They have so much fun with this game. I love it because they are practicing their math and don't even realize it. I will say the company that came up with this game put a lot of thought in it. One of the things I love is that the numbers on the game board are not in order, so they cannot just count on the board. They actually have to add the numbers together and then find the number on the board. For anyone thinking about purchasing this product, do it. I am ready to purchase other games from this company.

A board game themed around oceans, treasures, and typhoons. The game has some very simple rules for kids to follow with ease. But it stays interesting and competitive. The game is designed to help kids practice Addition, which it does beautifully. When we played, we did a lot of addition problems without realizing as they were beautifully integrated in the game. So game achieves its stated purpose i.e. addition practice but it achieves something more. My kids are fine with going down the typhoons, changing the path, losing a turn too. They are more sportive now. And that is the real power of a game. The box is pretty big as compared to the contents inside. But the board is beautiful and all the pictures on it very eye-catching and interesting. I am happy that I bought this game for my kids. I would love to know if the company has any game which help kids practice subtraction or is there any way or modified gameplay where with ocean raiders itself we can play a game involving subtraction

My son and I like the game. The "tabulation" cards used to do the addition are not intuitive to me. I'd prefer a blank laminated sheet (to modify the presentation of addition, i.e.: "I I + I I = IIII" based on what child's class is using and as child gains understanding of the addition concept.) Overall, a good buy for children who love ocean themed games. The whirlpools were a big hit with my 6 yr old boy.

My 6 year old was excited to get a new game - and even more excited that it had to do with math - which he loves. We played the game quite a few times and have enjoyed it. It's fun and educational and in the age of video games and tv it's nice to spend quality time together while he gains greater confidence in his math skills. I would recommend this, and have already to everyone who has kids and are looking for a fun way to pass the time. I will be buying more games from this line - and giving them as gifts!
