A mixed review.
I use both the 29W LED lights and the 14W Fluorescents from Lithonia so I'll compare the two.The LED light is easier to mount underneath the wooden shelves I use for indoor growing than the fluorescent lights because they are designed to disassemble and reassemble easily with nice wire clips that you remove the light and reflector so you can directly bolt the rest of the assembly to undershelf. The fluorescents were a nightmare to mount - The secure part of the key slots were so short that the lights were very easily dislodged. The LEDs also run nice and cool unlike the fluorescent bulbs which throw off a lot of heat. I don't like the aesthetics of the LED lights - the red glow is disturbing but you can turn off the different color spectrums thanks to the individual control switches on the light housing. So when you want to see or show off your plants you can just use the white task lighting and leave the blue and red lighting off.But the big caveat with the LEDs is that despite prominently being described as linkable they are only linkable in an immediately adjacent manner (ie. you can make a bigger single light assembly - either widthwise or lengthwise - why wouldn't you just buy a bigger light?? ) unlike the fluorescents which had both plugs and sockets so you could daisy-chain an entire bookshelf worth of lights together and run them off one timed outlet. This is still possible with the LEDs but only with a special plug that is not included and which I can't find on amazon yet. Another tiny issue is that the smart plug I use draws a bit of power in the off-mode and that slight power draw seems to be passed on to the lights resulting a very dim but still perceptible LED illumination. Not a deal breaker and not really the fault of lights but it is something to be aware of if the lights are going to be in your living space - particularly your bedroom.EDIT: Lithonia only sells an 18 inch connector plugs here - to short for me. There are off-brand plugs available for far cheaper but BIG CAVEAT HERE - Lithonia has grooved their plug-ins (some MBA probably thought this was a great way to lock customers in to their more expensive cables) so you have shave third party plugs down to size to fit. THIS KIND OF DECISION SOURS ME ON TRUSTING LITHONIA PRODUCTS. I had 4 more lights to buy and I will be looking elsewhere for a light that doesn't pull proprietary lock-in shenanigans.I have yet to see how well these plant lights will work with my plant's health. Time will tell.

Good grow light for orchids needing medium to low light. Versatile wavelength on-off feature
I bought the 2 foot led grow light to replace two 3 foot white fluorescent bulbs for growing small orchids. Length was an issue as I only have 3 feet of under counter space. The unit meets my immediate needs and seems at least as bright as the fluorescent tubes it replaced while using less energy. Screwed in with provided hardware, most of the unit is hidden with about one inch of stainless steel showing beneath the cabinets. I would have liked the linkage feature to be a little more flexible and so will probably not be buying additional units. Linking can only be accomplished 2 ways: either end-to-end for a 4 foot long size or side-by-side. I had hoped I would be able to link them offset by a few inches but still side-by-side. Alas, not possible with this model. I could not be sure until I had the unit in hand with the (minimal) directions to understand the configuration limitations. Otherwise, an excellent product. I have had at least three orchids bloom since I purchased the unit. I like the ability to turn off any of the 3 light wavelengths, (white, red, blue) because the pinkish cast can be temporarily turned off if you want to use the unit as a counter light during cooking prep, or if you have guests who may wonder about the pink light.

Like the flexibility to choose Light Color Combination
I have two of these lights and I use them for growing African violets. I like being able to choose the led color. I am using the blue-white for starters and will add the reds when it is time for them to bloom. They are doing well. I also like being able to use blue-white only when I am in the room so I don't have to look at red light. I have them on a timer and they go on an off with no problem. They are not hot. I just wish they were a little cheaper.

Look elsewhere
All that fixture and extra buttons with such dim lighting, why bother?

I like the color changing feature and they are adequately bright
I am using this light over a group of clivia miniata plants (kaffir lily) that grow out on my screened porched in summer in natural light but (here in Connecticut) have to live indoors in winter. For years I've grown them without anything but window light from a window that's about five feet away, but they don't flower every year (when they do it's typically around Easter time) and I was hoping that having a grow light with the right color frequency might help induce more blossoming on a regular basis (every year, as opposed to every other year or so).I'm not sure yet if they'll make much of a change, but I did also switch to a dry organic flowering plant food (I forget the name at the moment) and fed them all summer with that, so hopefully the combination of lights and a better fertilizer will get me more consistent blooms. The clivias are spectacular when they do bloom.I like that you can change the color temp of these lights and I might buy a second one for use growing herbs under a kitchen counter (these are easy to mount under a shelf or cabinet, which is nice). I was a bit disappointed that the light I got only has one row of LED bulbs though, not two as is shown in several of the photos. I can't tell if those photos are showing multiple lights or if there is a multiple-bulb lamp available too, but personally I think the photo is misleading.I think a lot of photos like clivias (and my night-flowering cereus plants) can grow fine in the dormant season without much more than a distant window, but I'm very curious to see if there is a difference using light--though one light is not quite long enough to cover all of my clivia plants. I have some good photos of my clivias but they were taken before I got the lights and I don't want to give any false hope so I won't publish them here, lol.
