Delicious, well-balanced and kosher certified
I recently ordered a cookbook on Amazon written by an Israeli chef. When I looked at the recipes, I found a recipe for a dish I loved. However, the prepared "mejedra," is a bit expensive, hard to find and I believe it MIGHT contain preservatives.In the cookbook, the dish is called Mejudara (I think). It called for a few different products I'd never used before. One of them was this Baharat.I am a kosher consumer, and bought this brand because it had kosher certification. I've never used Baharat before, although I'm sure I've eaten dishes that included it.Baharat is, similarly to curry powder, garam masala,etc., actually a combination of spices. Therefore, the flavorings of different spice makers can vary in taste.I was very, very happy with the flavor this Baharat imparted to the dish. It smelled delicious - the spices were well-balanced.
