Great quality
I bought this box for my son. He uses it at the front door. Wallet and keys after traveling three days on the road. Keeps my two year old grandson out. Good looking, masculine,and great value.

Not Exactly Heirloom Quality
These boxes are pretty much what they look like in the photo. What you can't really tell is what they are made of. They are made of 5/16 plywood. I ordered 2 of these, and both came with slightly warped sides. Having done plenty of woodworking I know that it's not easy to keep plywood from warping, so if you don't mind that you will be satisfied. That said, they look pretty nice, and the latches and hinges seem to work OK at this point.

Quality Small Chest
We bought this to use as part of our wedding ceremony. We now have it holding letters from the event which fit perfectly. This is a small box. The stain and metal detail provide just the right amount of decoration. The wood is appropriately thick. We have this on display on a book case.

I purchased this as a keepsake box for a male friend whom underwent surgery. It's a beautiful, sturdy wood and good size. I love the hardware closure and design. It's a perfect gift for a man or woman.The wood is thinner than I expected but it is a nice piece. You could easily add felting on the inside if wanted, to protect your collectibles.
